I'm pretty sure stopping an uncontrollable crocodile/shark by putting a gas canister in its mouth and shooting it is a cub scout merit badge.
I should have looked for this while I was at Barnes & Noble yesterday. Brick-and-motar stores represent!
Guitarcade sounds pretty cool.
How can a game that uses the same assets for years still be unfinished?
I'd recognize that ladder anywhere!
Great story. I hope your daughter makes it.
Could it be *gasp* a brand-new property?
But...but... it's Star Wars!
Is that boss in the pic an inflatable crazy-arms guy?
I got the Resident Evil one right and I never played the game. I just "knew."
Not even a Dolphins fan would bet on the Dolphins to beat the Patriots.
I guess Kratos can't be in every fighting game.
I can see it being really gimmicky, but it depends on how well it's implemented.
It's hard to be an imperfect hero when you have so much skill am I right? On a more serious note, I don't think it's much different than when "normal" characters do extraordinary things in movies or books. I think right now having an alternative to game-over screens only applies to games like L.A. Noire and Heavy Rain where a majority of the enjoyment comes from the story.
You always sound like a dork when you say "noob" in real life.
Don't forget Fighter's History, the game that Capcom unsuccessfully sued for being too similar to Street Fighter.
Great article. I'd be upset if I was a Ridiculous Fishing developer too.
9/10. That version of #7 is definitely using artistic license in terms of how sturdy it actually is.
It'll probably be tougher to do today because the expectations to turn a AAA game into a franchise are much greater than in the 80s.
I think I saw no. 3 as a punch-the-targets arcade game somewhere.
