Lol that's a lie. Marvel went to Sony. Sony and Marvel went to Insomniac and said they can make a game with any character from the Marvel universe. Insomniac chose Spiderman. They did this because they care a crap load about their characters and want to provide people with quality experiences.
Disney/Marvel make money on it anyway through licensing deals. Otherwise, if they cared so much about money, they would build their own development studios and publish it themselv...
I wouldn't say the PS4 had the most dominating performance ever. That title is still owned by the PS2 (which obliterates everything). Still the generation hasn't been close.
The Xbox One X doesn't need launch exclusives. He's correct in say that. It's all part of the Xbox One family.
However, that Xbox One family needs more from Microsoft's 1st/2nd party studios. Especially in the latter half of the year because the first half was bone dry.
Is Halo Wars 2, Forza 7, Cuphead and Super Lucky's Tale seriously good enough? Can the management at Xbox honestly be proud of what they are producing this year?
It's a weird name. You just know there is going to be parents or people who buy the wrong system. One S and One X have a similar sound. I have a lisp and it's even worse to pronounce.
Should of just called it the Xbox One Elite. It not only makes it easier associate which one is which, it also does a good job telling people what it is. A better, more powerful version of the Xbox One.
The biggest screw up in my viewpoint is definitely killing off Desmond or at least not replacing him with another character. I love Assassin's Creed and I loved the modern day aspects of the games. The whole overarching story was interesting to me.
Since then the modern day story has been reduced to next to nothing and and the lineage aspect has been made a joke by having characters tied to their ancestors. Nothing really ties the stories together and it's made the ...
Because people have different tastes and not everybody has to like the same games.
I'm shocked.
Christ the comments in this thread. You're all acting as if he wasn't the one who wrote the 1st game (for which he won multiple awards specifically for his writing).
Looking at another article on the web. It seems the person who made the original tweet to Neil was more about race, gender and sexual orientation. Rather than the personal politics that were found in The Last of Us (Ethics, Terrorism/Activism, Oppression, Martial Law, etc).
It's n...

"Scorpio is for hardcore Xbox gamers who want high end PC power"
You're not getting high end PC power for $600 mate. Wishful thinking though.
Not to be a debbie downer but there is a number of titles in the PS4 list that won't hit 2017 (TLOU2, God of War, Spiderman and Death Stranding). Hell they even listed Deep Down, when was the last time we heard anything about that game?
Regardless, Microsoft still doesn't come close to the number of titles and possibly the quality. It's sad to say, but I have a distinctive feeling my Xbox One is going to spend most of next year turned off. Besides Cuphead, there...
Wow developers re-use old assets. I'm so shocked.
Game devs use old assets all the time (animations, character models, environment models, scripts, audio, etc.). Do you really think that devs create all new assets for each and every game? Why do you think sequels typically require less time in development?
I know Ubisoft isn't the most beloved publisher/developer in the world, but this is petty.
You mean something like NBA 2k17? A game known to be coming to the Nintendo Switch. A game made by 2K Games. The same 2K Games who are owned by Take-Two Interactive.
Take-Two doesn't equal Rockstar.
I don't see the system failing if it has a $499 price tag. There will be a lot of people picking one up from the get go due to the hype surrounding the system and many of those gamers will sell or trade in their system to offset to price tag. People spend more than that each year to have the latest phone, so $499 won't price people out of buying one.
The question of how will sales perform against the PS4P is a different one. If it launches at that price tag and Sony...
There's a simple reason to still have console generations.
At E3, Microsoft touted that they are doing away with generations and nobody would be left behind. But there's a problem with that statement. Eventually developers are going to leave the older, far weaker system behind so that they can utilise the newer, better system in more ways. What happens when Microsoft announces a successor to the Scorpio in a number of years? Will Xbox One owners still be able to get...
Microsoft had a great conference, but this was a year that Sony just blew them away. If not for Scorpio which was their big announcement, it would have just been a good, safe conference. Coming away from E3, the big talk isn't the games that are coming this year, the talk is all about Scorpio. I was slightly disappointed we didn't see a new IP announced. All 3 of the new game announcements (FH3, State of Decay 2 and Dead Rising 4) were sequels. Of the other exclusives they showed off,...
I think Microsoft had a real solid showing but Sony just eclipsed it. The presentation of Sony's conference was amazing, when I first saw that theatre I was genuinely surprised, haven't seen a room for a conference like that in a long time. Then there was the orchestra that played music throughout the show, just beautiful. A far cry from how not just Sony's conferences, but all E3 conferences are.
They made of had a show that ran for 75-80 minutes, but it was so...
@galmi
Not for F2P games like Fortnite. Those don't require a PS+ subscription to play online. So the game is actually free to play. Unlike on Xbox where it's Free to Play*
*Requires a paid subscription to Xbox Live to play.
