Yeah plus I feel too old to be wanting a modern collection to display, and I don’t need more plastic doodads to worry about. My retro collection at least has charm since snes/64 boxart used to look really cool
The Switch 2 hardware upgrade over the Switch 1 make it far beyond a Pro, the graphical change is generational and will become clearer as more games come out, it’s just continuing the trend that started with the Wii of staying roughly a generation behind the competition.
Pro consoles are generally a silly idea, there was at least a case for PS4 Pro to keep up with 4K TV’s
1. The game is great, as expected for Mario kart
2. I don’t think anyone expected a kart racer to be goty
3. In Australia at least, it’s the cheapest Mario kart has ever been at launch for a console
Unfortunately the games are fun. They’ve got us by the balls
Yeah the name is a non-issue, I’m more interested in how they handle Bond’s appearance since there’s currently no movie Bond - will it be some fictional new guy? Daniel Craig? Some kind of selector where we can pick from Connery, Brosnan, etc? (unlikely unless they can somehow tune the voice acting per face option with AI)
I’m guessing 3rd person given their Hitman background but would be happy with either 1st or 3rd. Perfect Dark is gonna be a 1st person game, getting made by the To...
It was only relatively recently where we started seeing games developed without catering to previous gen consoles, so we're finally seeing what the jump in tech can provide. And rockstar has more resources than any other dev. No skepticism here
I'm still skeptical of HD-2D, and still want them to fix remaining foibles in the current Steam version. At any rate I've been seeing online that this rumour has been debunked
Chuds hate her because she doesn't do the anti-woke brainrot thing
Another year to tackle my backlog :)
Is there anything wrong with the enhanced version if you’re just playing single player?
Same (unreal) engine, and more importantly same dev team. Also helps that this is part 3 of a game that essentially already exists
Mario Kart World is effectively costing me AUD$70 with the bundle.
Both Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 would each have launched at closer to AUD$100 back in the 90’s
Would you have called the SNES the NES 2?
If it's like the first Switch, I'll probably buy like four games through the system life - Kart (bundled), DK, Zelda, and Mario
I like the original cel shading but would it kill them to implement a widescreen hack?
Throw in Yoshi's Woolly World for good measure
It’s an Ubi game, so unless/until they shake up their formula we know exactly what we’ll be getting, and have already formed a view on whether we want more of that. So the score is redundant.
The only AC game I’m interested in is the rumoured Black Flag remake to see if they will remove any of the crap content that was in the otherwise great original
Not everybody buys and plays games during the launch window
Another thing that hurts the Pro is how good the PC version of FF7 Rebirth is. For a brief few weeks, the PS5 Pro was the definitive way to play this game, but no more. If you have budget for a Pro because you want the best, then may as well budget slightly higher to get better still
Name a better controller
