While it is OK to compare the first 16 months of the three consoles, we can all admit that the N64 had the biggest "wow" factor (mario 64, waverace). Then comes the wii, with the new controls (everyone loved wii sports at first). However, the big time loser is the gamecube. Even though I have one, we can all admit that lunch pretty much s*cked...

You are right, I've played it a lot at a friend's house. It's totally great. However, I've seen the whole game (we passed it) and have no interest into buying/posessing it. I was referencing to motorstorm bundles...
This xbox360 price cut is simply awesome. I can't wait to see just by how much this will be, considering that I wanted to buy a ps3 in the near future. It might not make me change my mind on the choice, but it might force Sony to price drop sooner than expecter. I mean, come on, I want a ps3 now and it pisses me off to know that I gotta wait until June to get one at a good price and with a GOOD bundled game.
Definately a big mistake from Microsoft. Like some people said here, it will hurt the longetivity of the console. Xbox 720 in a few years anyone?
This is going to be HUGE. Remember the DS version, how it sold like hot cakes. Good to hear that the game's good, and it just takes some common sense to realize, without playing, that the steering wheel was gonna be just another unfunctional gimmick. I mean come on, what's better than the Gamecube controler for precision?

Well, Mario Kart DS has online play, so I guess it's just more than normal than Wii offers it too years after.
However, I agree with you when you say you don't understand why people whine about this. I find it perfectly normal! I mean, if you bought a Wii, I'm pretty sure that you KNEW it would be this way. I mean, no microphone anyone?
However, they need to release something that replaces the 80gb model with a new model + dual shock 3. I want to buy a ps3 right now, I have the money, but I know the 80gb is being discontinued (even if it's not official).
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one in this position, and would like to see a new model soon to play b3yond with y'all :)

1) Counter-strike (PC)
Too many hours. I mean, WAY too many... and I still play the damn game!
2) Goldeneye (N64)
Most hours come from (too) LONG 4 player-sessions.
3) NHL 07 (XBOX 360)
Played this title all year long with friends. Around 4 to 5 hours per weekend day (10 hours per weekend).
The wii was the biggest disappointment of 2007. Don't get me wrong : I've been a Nintendo Fanboy since the NES / Gameboy era until the DS Lite era (included).
Unfortunately, the wii is just plain boring. I mean, I have one, and just don't feel like ever playing it.
Nothing compares to the fun I get with NHL 08 on xbox 360, Free network on ps3, all of those features for the right price.
For the price, the Wii is just plain BORING.
Finally, there's hope we won't have to wait another 3-4 years before getting this good Blizzard game!

This whole "create your own play" thing is just awesome. The replay value has just got up 100%.
I don't think it's fair calling NHL 2k8 better than NHL08 'cause we haven't played either one yet.
The video itself doesn't show the best headshots ever. I mean come on, no COUNTER-STRIKE???? this game is ALL about headshots. :) just my 2 cents!
