Great prizes! Good luck, everyone.
Good luck everyone!
Also a big fan of Resident Evil 4 and I'm really enjoying it. Waiting for a sale is a good idea though as they are still working on patching a few issues.
Another great article. I'm glad to see more of these as the gamergate crowd doesn't represent me or any of my friends who are lifelong gamers.
Having an opinion about social issues isn't corruption. Subjective reviews are not a problem because people can think for themselves. You don't have to agree with every review. It's okay to ignore the ones who speak out about issues you don't personally care about.

There you go. Not everyone wants objective reviews only. Some really do want to read about this "political nonsense".
Edit: @Chickeycantor
I understand that you and others disagree with that style of review but the good thing is there are many sources to get game information from so you can choose to ignore the ones that discuss topics you don...
Great article! Games don't, and shouldn't, exist separate from social politics. That goes for both developers and the people who write about them. I want games that challenge political topics and writers who discuss and criticize them. There are plenty of websites that cater to people who aren't interested in that side of it.
Edited for clarity
Good luck everyone!
Good luck to all! Another easy and fun contest so thanks.
Yeah I nearly made a silent hill in my underwear.
While that wasn't really the point, the social media industry is young and more progressive as a whole.
My argument wasn't that gaming is progressing slowly compared to any particular industry it was that it is slow in general.
Compared to any industry in which women wouldn't have to worry about these problems in the first place. That it is progressing is fantastic but gaming has long been known as a boys club and I know many women whose negative experiences in the industry have made them wary of getting more involved.
Anything less than equality is not enough but as I said progress is still a good sign either way.
Great article and I'm glad to see you had such a positive experience. Hopefully it is a sign that the industry is growing up however slow it may be.
I understand you perfectly well you just aren't making any points that I agree with. Social issues are important in gaming because they are important to gamers. Not all of them obviously but more and more all the time as evidenced by your frequent rants against them.
Saying something is a fact doesn't make it so. And again you are mistaking the correlation of game sales regarding gender with a lack of importance when it is only a factor with potential to affect sales de...
Again those are simply your opinions that social issues are ridiculous and illegitimate. I strongly disagree.
See how that works? Subject to opinion. That games sell with or without female protagonists hinders on many too many factors to single the gender specifically. There are millions of gamers all with their own motivations for purchasing. You can't simply declare it makes no difference because of correlation.
The idea that developers have been free to make wh...
But those things that you consider bad are not objectively bad. They would never listen to ridiculous requests without thinking about the end product and whether there is a market for it. Also, just because you personally don't consider something important does not mean others don't.
Even if some developer listens to every extreme opinion and tries to implement them what is the worst that could happen? The game would either sell or it wouldn't. People would like ...
This is a good example of "Argumentum ad absurdum".
People complaining about underrepresentation or human rights issues isn't going to result in some Orwellian control over development. No matter how extreme some of the voices are those voices only represent the individual. By complaining about these issues people are letting developers and publishers know what they want. It is obvious they know they have the option to purchase or not in the end but there is nothing wro...
Truly terrifying! I feel lucky that none of the women I have dated felt it necessary to take such drastic action.
That is just cold!
This is one of the reasons the Wii U gamepad is brilliant for homes with one tv.
This video is objectively fantastic.
