I severely doubt it. The game's broken, but its mechanics are also flawed. If there was to be a patch to fix all the issues, it would be like downloading a whole new game.
Glad I could provide some amusement :D
Yeah, I definitely stayed up until three in the morning to write a 1,800 word article for clickbait views.
And how? A new engine, a new approach to the story, a new approach to movement and gunplay in multiplayer - all these could potentially be boosts to the franchise.
Your personal disdain for the franchise will not determine quality - which for everyone's sake I hope is great.
You'd be better advised to start with one of the earlier ones to get used to everyone, since it drifts on and off topic quite a lot. If you can tolerate South African accents and occasional off-colour jokes, go ahead!
Why do things have to be so binary? Just because I'm opposed to the further marginalisation of an already ostracised group doesn't mean I expect GTA to be an innocent experience.
I accept that there's going to be an extreme amount of violence in the game, I just don't see the point in including NPCs whose sole priority is to take flak for how they look. That's not mature humour, that's juvenile.
This isn't about ratings, restricti...
Apologies if that was what came off, it was only meant to be expressive of my opinion.
I disagree with controversial content for the hell of it; things don't have to be needlessly bloody for them to be fun. I'm not opposed to variety, I just take opposition to the inclusion of said content when it serves no purpose other than to make a game seem mature or generate shock value with no follow-through.
@i8urCAKE - that misses the point completely - if you say there's nothing you can do about it, you're not only dismissing any relevance future updates could have, you're giving the impression that this is what you'll settle for in your online games.
Yes - the game is fun with friends, and I can acknowledge that. That's never been in question, but the questionable Rockstar policies mean that if you're: a) Playing alone, or b) Not playing often - you...
I agree with this. I usually trade in my games when specials are on, and I want to cut the price down really low on something, and GTA V - were it not for the fact that I play it a lot with my friends - is one that I'd consider trading, especially if I got banned by one of Rockstar's systems or the online got reset, as it won't be worth it to walk all that back up to normal.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate the positive feedback!
Ruined in the manner that the validity of the experience has been compromised, not that it's horrible to play.
Thanks for reading though!
Not at all - I was more upset that my ammo bill came to more than my earnings for the past 6/7 missions combined. I don't want the planes/cars/houses etc. to be cheaper, I want the peripheral costs to be more balanced, because in no way is a $70,000 ammo bill a balanced expense in a game where you're earning between $5,000 and $10,000 on average a mission.
I play the game to play with my friends - and in that respect, its excellent. Now it's more fun - since my i...
How do you decide whether a game is worthy - especially for Call of Duty, where millions enjoy the meta changes every year? Personally, I don't feel that Black Ops II for example, while similar to Ghosts, was the same game with reskinned guns and different maps - they play differently, nowhere more so than within the multiplayer infrastructure.
All that is moot though, it's a wildly popular series because people enjoy it - is that not what makes a game worthy? Likewi...
Why though? I see no problem with people enjoying Call of Duty or Battlefield.
I don't think any of us had played it, actually. Hadn't heard a lot about it either, so that's why it wasn't in the poll.
Fair enough, but any adults who are likely have more knowledge in the field than the game can provide.
It's aimed at kids - and to be fair, many kids find dinosaurs very intriguing. Thanks for reading though.
Right? And I mean, you can still go read through the story line, but it's just never the same as experiencing it.
I played 2 and 3 - the only one I missed was the first, as I didn't have an Xbox at the time.
You are right of course, but Saint's Row 2 was already treading that line with activities like Trailblazing and Fuzz, and a couple of silly things, like throwing hobos into their shacks in the underground area.
It wasn't as off-the-wall as Saint's Row: The Third, but it was moving in that direction.
Even as side characters, a more profound or dynamic depiction of child or teenage characters wouldn't go amiss.
You're certainly in the wrong place if you do not wish to view articles written about what we feel are relevant issues.
Actually, scores are entirely dependent on where you're reading review. They're not universal, and we gave it a 25 because the game is clunky, lacking in features previous games in the series had and quite unstable.
The fact that it runs off three basic mechanics which themselves are questionable in quality at best means that this game is severely below average -- a 50 in our terms.
But to address your argument - surely after two generations of wres...
