There was also mention of CPU issues with AI causing frames to drop. It's clear performance wouldn't have been stellar for either platform, so they dropped graphic fidelity to utilize GPGPU on PS4 to make up for the lacking CPU, this works out in favor for the XB1 having more CPU available and lesser GPU resources. It all makes sense but then again The Gamer Amendment in the Gamer Constitution demands perfect 1080@60 for whatever platform you main these days....
Specs war is for Digital Foundry to get more clicks and viral marketers to attempt to sway public perception of a machine.
I think Destiny is a great example of when suddenly the amount of pixels on my screen stopped mattering, the PS3 version while visually inferior to PS4 and XB1 played and felt the same as it did on other platforms.
If it didn't really impact my experience across a generational gap I really can't see how a resolution difference between PS4 and XB1 h...
Makes it sound like you simply can't get onto LIVE which is definitely not the case. Just stopped playing BF4 online to check the news, if there are problems they aren't network wide. I don't know why these are news anyways, if Microsoft sneezes some backwater blog tries to break into the journalism scene with the "scoop", pathetic. Now lets get back to the top 10 TLoU and PS4 is the best news stories everyone.
Too many articles about this, it's really a cut and dry issue. Sony and ND didn't decide overnight to make a PS4 version, that was in the pipe before it even came out on PS3. A company that large and important to Sony doesn't make decisions by the seat of their pants.
I think this would not have been such a hot topic if they had stated that TLoU was going to be a launch title or "launch window" (because thats getting stretched really far this gen XD) wit...
That's what I've been hoping with 343i, they need his iconic sound. But at the same time we only have one obscure side of the story, why was he fired after his work was finished with Destiny? Was this pressure from the publisher, or was this growing internally since Reach? Unfortunately with things like this we rarely hear what really happens and are left to speculation.
No matter how much work real people had to do, that shouldn't have to be said to justify the price tag, guilt tripping customers and playing the victim is just bad business.
The fact that these questions are being asked says something about the value at launch. For those who haven't played it before have at it, those who have should wait for it to appear on PS+ or at the very least discounted.
Naughty Dog isn't exactly in a dire financial position...
I think we should make it known that having an MMO with an external subscription fee should not be bound by XBL Gold, but I wouldn't put that in a list of reasons to get a PS4 right now. We have yet to play an MMO on XB1 so until then it's all up in the air just use things like the Dashboard Preview program and the forums to let them know, they want your purchase and are quite willing to iterate based on feedback as seen over the past year.
As for the rest, specs are ...
This is just par for the course for the Jimquisition the whole point is to make a big deal out of something, that's his style. It's why I don't see a point to argue with him.(well that and I mean come on he does have the pink tie from China)
As for people saying you can't be a fanboy of PS4 if you liked the 360 sorry but you can change sides whenever you want this ain't a blood oath (unless your Mr.Uchiha :P) if the rhetoric that Sony or MS spews is good e...
Causing an uproar over your prized system not being 1080p all the time is childish and ignorant.
If you really want 1080p for PS4 I guess you can let them know, but harassing devs and publishers and screaming boycott gets you nowhere and makes the fan base look like ungrateful scum.
As seen with those images the perceived difference is so minute after upscaling that this crusade for your suffering PS4 reads like nothing more than fanboys trying to justify their purchase, becau...
