My guess is that what you will see is games with previous PS4 versions will get the dual-gen treatment simply because their engines were developed on PS4.
It makes good financial sense to have developmental time put towards PS4 versions of games because not everyone will be want to/be able to upgrade to a PS5 in the near future. In doing this, Sony have ensured that the PS4 generation don't get left behind.
No. Horizon and Spider-man are PS5 games and were built as such from the ground up. They both take advantage of the SSD and Dualsense and have both been put forward as examples of what PS5 is capable of.
This thing has been blown out of all proportion. All games announced whihc are "cross-gen" all have one thing in common. Their engines were developed on PS4 and upgraded to work on PS5. That kind of baked-in compatibility means that "downgrading" each g...
It maybe thousands of games but it's thousands of games that you've played before. It's a bit disingenuous to infer that they are new games when the Xbox One was able to play these games as well (although, admittedly not all of them).
It's like saying everytime you upgrade your PC, there are thousands of new games to try. There isn't. You've been able to play them before.
Plus you're talking maybe 4/5 years for a proper AAA title from a decent developer. Kudos to MS for investing in decent studios but it's going to take time for the benefits to be seen.
@knickstr - What good would legal action do? This was created by a user using the tools given to him by playing Dreams. That's like Nintendo suing Crayola because someone used coloured pencils to draw Mario.
Remember Sony only have the exclusive rights to Spider-man. The rest of the Marvel universe is fair game.
My library is 95% digital and I don't get these emails.
I can't stop collecting stuff. I've played a few hours into the story but have collected most of the backpacks and landmarks.
I just can't stop swining round the city.
@quiddd It's Reddit-speak for sarcasm.
The PSVR version would like a word with you....
Anecdotally, the people who play multiplats (FIFA, Madden etc.) aren't the same people who own 4K TVs. Given thats the OneX's major selling point, I think they're onto a loser. Plus, those who have 4K TVs are probably multiple console owners and will probably have already invested in a PS4 Pro. For me, and probably for a lot of people, the difference between native 4K and checkerboard 4K is minimal.
The same arguments levelled at Sony about the PS4 Pro being a P...
It's only the first game you get, not all 4. This article is wrong.
Look at the depths N4G has plunged to! An actual, honest to goodness fair comment without any hint of fanboyism or bias. Kudos to firelogic.
That being said, it's kinda telling that all MS seems to be doing just now is promoting Scorpio. What use is a new machine without new games to play it on? Fair enough, it'll be backwards compatible with XB1 games, but at the pricepoint Scorpio will more than likely be released at (around £499, I reckon) it's going to ...
That's what I thought. Even Digital Foundry have praised GG for delivering Horizon in proper, stable 4K.
Any chance you could add the region in the title next time?
Incidentally, US only.
The problemis, they're setting themselves up for a shitstorm of returns/refunds. The average Asda customer is unlikely to know the difference between Xbox One and Switch.

My launch DS4's thumbsticks are still going strong and they've been battered for hundreds, if not thousands of hours.
Nah. Last friday of the year, so it looks like it's just a placeholder date in case of a 2017 release.
Just do it yourself. Amazon and Aliexpress both have loads of different shell and button options and the Dualsense seems to have been made to be taken apart. It's one of the easiest things I've done, tech-wise. If in doubt, look up Youtube videos and take a look for yourself.
