Considering the joke potential behind this game, I wouldn't be in a hurry to release it and rather save the 11.500 dinners...
It's normal in almost any project to do some extra hours/nights but for Ryse ??? It's maybe required so that they lower the graphics of the game as announced a few weeks ago.

Removing 3D was a good move since almost nobody used it but come on, the general design could've been much much better... Looks like old school electronic games, but even back then you could fold them and take them away.

Agreed, Story of Thor is by far the best Megadrive/Genesis game I've ever played. Also, Streets of Rage 1 & 2 were awesome (3 was crappy).
But the comparison goes beyond : Aladdin is way better on Genesis than SNES, same statement with Ghouls & Ghosts, and probably a few more "shared" licences but different games. Micromachines also just poped in my mind.

About the HDMI input I gave it some thought yesterday and I think that even though you can probably have your Display/Sound deported to your Xbox One, you'd probably be unable to control it with the Xbox. So unless it's a genuine function i.e Xbox being a cable box as they mentioned it would be, meaning that you MUST have cable TV to enjoy it -and most of us in France have DSL or satelite boxes for TV- the Xbo...

I highly doubt that "The Last Guardian" will be released for PS4 as it's been developped for years for PS3... It's too late to change plans for that now.
About Far Cry 3 showing the limits of PS3, I'd rather say that it shows how bad a PS3 port can be. If you want to see its true potential, check out the exclusives (especially "The Last of Us", coming soon).
PS3 can still run a couple years, it'll be fine.

Yes, beautiful game. When this was released, I was completely entranced by the atmosphere and immersion of the game. I didn't have such a feeling for a loooong long time. Too bad they don't patch the game so that they allow players to host their own online games or something. This game loses interest when played offline, such a shame :(
I don't think we'll be seeing GTA V in 2012. Maybe not even a trailer. It seems that Rockstar always start teasing their games just a few weeks before their release, and all the recent R* games have been released in the April/May period, we can expect GTA V for Spring.
Haven't played on a PC for ages and I'm really happy with my PS3, have over 40 games now. I couldn't name 40 recent games I would have bought for PC, and if I did it'd have cost me twice the price of my console to play them.
