True on most points but remember that they are still 9 years apart
What sucks even more is it couldn't have happened to a more respected company. Not saying it should have been done to EA or whatever but insomniac is one of the most reputable dev teams out there so it makes this attack even more disgusting
It sounds like MS set unrealistic expectations which lines up with how out of touch they are with gaming. I wonder what their targets will now be after the Activision acquisition
I doubt FF7 Rebirth makes an appearance unless it's a small teaser. Not with TGS being one week away
They didn't say it was flawless. There are several issues with performance mode, but none big enough that makes it unplayable. Most issues are for nitpickers and performance is prioritized during combat which is where it matters most. He even recommended playing quality mode but obviously that's very subjective.
Quality on the other hand is near flawless 30fps.
It's funny cause Remake was on 2 discs where 1 was just a data disc. So will this be on... 4?
It'll most likely end after the Crater. The player is left wondering what happened after everything collapses and the weapons were unleashed. It would make for a great ending, leaving the player in despair, kinda like Empire strikes back in star wars
What bothers me more about this article is the writer calling delta a triangle
It's the other way around. They stopped it to get the subscriber count lower to show why they need the Activision deal to happen
MS will definitely use this for their Activision takeover
And even after getting the dirt cheap PC version there will still be thousands of complaints on how it's a crap port
Most deals also happen way before the game even gets produced. The deal with Sony is most likely 3 games or whatever and started with FF7 remake. Forspoken just happens to be one of them, and FFXVI. Of course as part of the deal Sony can't just back out if they realize the game will not turn out great. It's so easy to make comments like OP in hindsight without understanding the context
A game like this will sell 10x more on Playstation consoles. Financially it makes the most sense to take MS money for their Xbox revenue and PS sales for PS revenue
TLoU is built from the ground up and CC Reunion isn't. I thought this was obvious? CC is literally the PSP game. Maybe not 100% literally, but Square just did a great job upscaling it and it's a low res PSP game to begin with. Demon's Souls was built from the ground up. SotC was built from the ground up. CC Reunion is reusing PSP assets. The other games aren't. Bluepoint didn't need anything from FromSoftware to make Demon's Souls. They themselves said they asked them ...
How a game looks compared to its base game is irrelevant to whether its a remaster or a remake. CC is a remaster and it's obvious. TLoU is also an obvious remake. It doesn't matter that TLoU didn't need one considering how great the PS4 remaster already looks, but that's besides the point
$20 to upgrade to Director's Cut PS4. Then you have to pay another $10 to upgrade to PS5 for $30 total. The $20 is fine but they should not be charging $10 to upgrade a game that came out less than a year ago. Miles Morales was a free upgrade
This isn't what I was expecting when I saw Bloodborne and PS5 in the title
Witcher 3 still had a longer main campaign. The value in CP2077 is found in the multiple endings and story branches that you can only get by replaying and choosing different options starting with your character.
They need to add the option to view patch notes like with PS4 games.
It's less to do with their dominance and more with Xbox downfall. Great job Phil! Can't wait to see the downfall of Blizzard and Bethesda next
