2019 has nothing to do with anything. Online infrastructure is lacking, sure, but we really need to stop saying what we believe standards should be for 2019 when they are the only hybrid system on the market at a fraction of the size and power consumption of the larger more powerful consoles, while keeping the cost down. Nintendo went a certain direction and are working it out. This is what they excel at, trying something new, pass or fail.
This is only relevant if everyone has a strong PC and agrees this is the best way to play. Neither of which are true. As I've stated before. PC isn't a console and are not created equally. The price on your console of choice is the price, regardless of anything else. IOS charges more for many apps and charges for some that are free. That's unfortunately the price of admission.
Exactly. They tried that before and it absolutely killed their current platform and all future support. All they said at the time was that they weren't getting out of the console business and had a new console in development to prove it. Then everything died for them...to be fair,it was already dying, but it officially died that day.
This makes me doubt seriously a PS5 anytime soon. There is little need based on sales levels.
Right. What is the point of dropping prices if you are selling at full price at a satisfying(from the company perspective) pace? No company does that for any product if they want to make profit.
This is a well written article. When it works, it works.
I'll certainly agree with AR on the 3DS. It was a cool novelty, but nothing more. I would add TVii for the Wii U on that list as well. I do like that companies try new things though. You never know what might catch on. Amiibo are kind of pointless imo if you don't count the collectible figure aspect and the huge profitability.
That would be cool, but it might be hard for Nintendo to violently kill their characters. Although killing off ganondorf might be worhwhile, or Bayonetta would be cool, though.
would be a fun alternate mode on the Switch to have green blood...just for nostalgia and funsies.
Because not everyone is arrogant enough to think their opinion is the only one...or the right one? Not everyone has or wants multiple systems? Perhaps the option to play any way I want is enough to justify the purchase? Graphics don't matter as much as you might believe? Take your pick
As long as I know this going in, I am willing to wait for the Switch version.
Strictly from the games perspective, it isn't there yet. The problem is that I just don't want to play them. We just need more modern games. It's going to take a while to get the list of games sufficient to please most people, but the list is steadily growing and SNES games are coming eventually. I've tried them all and the are fun...for a few minutes each. We really need more modern games. The only thing really keeping me on is being able to share my digital games on m...
my point is that if you want to know what's on the list, then it is only fair to the poster to view all the pages of their site.
A more helpful comment would have been. "This is one of those crappy sites that make you click though multiple pages" That is fair and I would truly appreciate that. I'll add this to my list with twinfinite that I can avoid.
Super Mario Maker never did get slopes like many were asking. I expect the sequel is coming, and will retain the ability to play existing games in some fashion. I wouldn't say any game NEEDS dlc. GTA V has mad enough money. That being said, the cliched Zombie story, like undead nightmare would have been amazing in GTA Vs world.
Do you think sites post on N4G for the N4G comments or to NOT be viewed. They expect you to click the article. You aren't helping anyone.
Playing with split joycons is great for playing some games, especially Super Mario Odyssey. It's nice to have the option. This is one thing I really liked about the Wii and Wii U(for some games) was that my hands didn't have to be so close in front of me.
Even if Nintendo made $30/copy, that's about $5million. Wonder how much this cost to produce and market?. Probably wasn't that much. Despite the vocal minority we tend to see, these ports are worthwhile investments for Nintendo and people seem to want them.
Nintendo should have a direct on Feb 1, just for spite
That's kind of the point that they are different types of Mario platformers. They shouldn't feel the same.
No doubt this is coming as well at some point. Regarding this port, my money is on Nintendo paving paving the way for Mario Maker. Hopefully a new game and not just a port, although it would be cool to be able to play exisiting levels too.
Reading through the comments below. one particularly stood out.
"We need more feel good pieces all around so the negativity, toxicity and animosity can subside" This comment received, at this time 36 downvotes, 4 upvotes. I am done with N4G. All of you Trolls can keep it.
