Because it's free publicity? Because it would be a nice acknowledgment to fans of the game and fans of the stream? Because it would show they are aware of the online world outside of some occasional Nintendo Direct announcements?
It's not so much about how saying something about it would benefit them, it's about what continuing to ignore things like this says about them.

No, I've got to agree with the author in that Valve are letting their users have almost complete control over some very important parts of their site.
Tags are already proving to be a fiasco, and it's up to Valve to step in and play the bad guy to stop it.
Chivalry is a weird game. I want to like it, but there's something about the mechanics that just doesn't do it for me.
