For larger companies that can afford to make their own engines, yeah they're doing pretty well.
But what about the mid-level guys who want to put a sweet IP out, but can't afford to develop their own engine for both PS3 and 360 or either one singularly? The ones that don't necessarily need an engine like CryEngine? They turn to UE3. It's not that UE3 is a bad game engine, it's that it's affordable and utilized on both 360 and PS3.
In college, a 74-76 is a C, which is acceptable. Apparently in this generation it will take at least a B- for most people to look at a game.
Whether this says something about the game reviewers or the game players I don't know. Did people stop playing games that reviewers pegged as "OK" or did reviewers raise the bar with higher numerical reviews of "OK" games?
Who cares about the number anyway? It's all about the content, because that's what determines whether each individual likes the game anyway.
Well is was only a difference of 15 minutes. I can think of a bunch of flash games I could have played after posting the first article.
My first thought was Oregon Trail on steroids.
Which is awesome.
I was going to comment on this odd occurrence as well. Why 4 articles, especially when everyone is just going to yell at each other the same way in the comments anyway?
Reaaally unlikely, but that's something I would want to hold out hope for regardless.
I don't think any of these titles "need" an HD remake. They might be classics because of how they are presented.
This is why I don't come by here anymore. A simple question and my own reasoning behind it gets jumped on immediately.
And I never played Gears of War 2, so I couldn't say that it sucked, just that Gears of War 1 I didn't enjoy.
And yea, I have an HDTV, a 32" Sharp with 720p output.
Japan was always Nintendo territory first.
Am I the only one who thought that Gears of War actually sucked? Halo I can deal with, cuz online is somewhat enjoyable (although IMO CoD4 beats it), but Gears of War just felt so uncomfortable for me, control wise and visually. (Not that it looked bad, just that I had trouble discerning the enemies from the backgrounds.)
"But im not a fan of gays so i don't blame microsoft"
You really think you can just say that? What if I said "I'm not a fan of black people, so I don't blame Microsoft. Ban them all."
How well do you think that would go down? You can't just ban people because of who they are. What they say and do, yes, ban them all you want. But the fact is that those on XBL or PSN who curse up a storm and say basically what you typed up there are those that do NO...
I wonder if she did get a warning. The article makes no mention of it, but I would think that they would at least have warned her about something in her profile, since that is something that can be changed, as opposed to your gamertag.
For some reason people are very adamant about this girl not being Amanda Wenk. This is like the third post about how Amanda Wenk is not the Epic Boobs girl.
Although I do have to say, I would probably take the Epic Boobs girl over Amanda Wenk. Wenk just seems like a skank.
Not every homosexual goes around touting about how they are a homosexual. I mean, up until they "come out of the closet" they make no mention of it at all.
I knew several classmates that were homosexual, but in no way proclaimed it every time they woke up. It's just arbitrary to the person's attitude. If they are loud, then yea they're gonna let people know. If they are more reclusive, they are going to keep quiet about it.
And yes, I have also known sever...
It's a shame that so much of the media still discounts these consoles as kid's toys however, no matter how mature and complex they and their games become.
I never would have become as interested as I am in video games today, that's for sure. And I'm sure the same can be said for the 100 million that enjoyed the fruits of the original Playstation. I certainly wouldn't own both HD consoles this generation and I also probably wouldn't be nearly as good at playing a fake guitar.
I agree with the article on almost, if not all of the points it makes. Would we have disc based games today? Its highly likely, but would we be playing games o...
You need to learn the definition of schooled because that was far from it. I don't know what I did to piss you off and make you respond to both of my comments with something that I'm sure you considered a witty retort. I didn't mention weaboo, because honestly, I don't know what it is and also, honestly, don't care. And it's sad to think that when you read a comment written with proper grammar, spelling, and capitalization, that you think the writer is pissed off. I honestly don't care that h...
This is really off topic. Unless you were providing an example, but I doubt that you were.
Didn't even read the article. I just want to point out:
20 Games @ $60 each
20 x $60 = $1200 + tax.
Not gonna happen.
