Doesn't mean we have to like the idea though.
I'm not worried. All those physical games already out there aren't going to just disappear.
All that I'll do is, if the all digital future comes to fruition, I'll just stop buying. I'll never buy an all digital console. Gaming is a hobby but it's not my life. I can fill it with something else.
You just know they've considered it
Overrated developer
Because I can? Because I'm entitled to an opinion?
Why should you care?
Really not interested in anything Xbox has to offer tbh.
I disagree, actually.
Cancer
Hopefully Sony and Nintendo see the backlash here and won't be so eager to follow suit. We need more choices, not less.
I think the ideal model is a modular system like the rumoured PS5 Pro with its optional disc drive. That way if you want it, you can buy it, but if you don't, you can save a few quid and don't bother with the drive.
You forgot the "/s"
All my PS5 games are physical.
I don't like the idea of an all digital future, I think we should always be given that choice.
What's wrong with this site? I wrote a perfectly legitimate comment and it wasn't allowed because apparently it "looks like spam". It's almost as bad as MSN!
It's still inexcusable that they released the game in that state. They should have delayed it, rather than release a half baked product and hope people won't notice.
That's great, but when will they tell us how many copies we're actually SOLD?
Every time a new player starts Starfield they have to celebrate it as if it's the best thing since sliced bread.
Why not? It's not as if it doesn't exist just because it's been out a while
Biggest game of the year 😂😂
I think you're forgetting (or ignoring) the existence of Baldur's Gate 3, which is bigger than Starfield by most metrics.
Ah but it's not Xbox yet, so I guess it doesn't count?
Hopefully not.
I'm no fanboy of any console or brand, but I can only see Xbox moulding the industry to how it thinks it should be, rather than what the consumers want. I don't think Microsoft and Xbox are good for the industry at all.
Come on, even the likes of the Steam Deck and ROG Ally can't run R&C perfectly, and they are higher powered but also expensive in comparison to the Switch. Nintendo will need to balance the power/cost ratio because if the Switch 2 cost in the region of £700 people just aren't going to buy it.
Same. I'll still have my old systems but I just won't buy any new ones that are all digital. We shouldn't accept or celebrate having options removed.
