Really? I think it looks a lot like 3D Dot Heroes.
The characters even hold their swords in the same manner as the old NES and SNES Zelda games... pointed straight out.
Also, there is, literally, a huge update planned for Halloween, what the hell are these idiots thinking?
Brain fart. Been a while since I played the HL2 games.
I'm sure I'll get called fanboy a million times for this, but I kind of agree with the disappointment in Sony's E3 presser.
I mean, for the first hour or so I was basically ready to go to something else.
3D gaming? First of all I don't have $2000 to spend on a new 3D enabled TV, nor do I have an extra $500 to spend on glasses for my family. 3D is kind of cool, but not nearly worth the investment. Beyond even that, however, I absolutely do not ...
Honestly, I'll enjoy whatever footie game is best, PES, FIFA, or whatever else...
I'll wait to reserve judgment on PES2011 when it gets released later this year, but if you honestly believe the last few PES games were better than FIFA then it is not he who is a FIFA fanboy, but you who is a PES fanboy.
Konami is way behind on the technology and PES 2010 felt/played like crap compared to FIFA 10.
Also, at this point in my gaming footba...
Damn, I thought this was going to be about some amazing deal or something. Got my hopes up.
Wow... I remember playing this religiously for like a year and a half. Happy to see it's still around and people are still enjoying it. Perhaps it's time for a second dip.
If not a little predictable. Expect all the "major" indie games to be on this list.
Funny article that rags on the English team a bit, so it gets high marks in my book!
Also some good points. I always, inevitably, return to the World Cup game to replay some matches that I thought were shit in real life.
Nice to see some old games again, but I disagree with a couple of the choices. Like GTA3 was picked over GTA: San Andreas, which, in my opinion, was the best GTA ever released.
Icycle is easily one of the best presented browser games I've ever played. Hilarious setting too.
Yeah, Osmos is rad. I find it to be one of the most relaxing games... almost too relaxing...
There's another game out there that reminds me of Meat Boy.. It's called Runman: Race Around the World. Check it out.
"inadequately explains why they are not good enough."
Care to elaborate? I don't see anything written that says that neither are good enough... in fact what is written shows why Sonya nd Nintendo SHOULD dedicate a central channel to games development and why they can be better than Microsoft's own channel.
The primary point is not that there are no indie games on either system, but rather the legnths it takes to for an indie developer to create an indie game on the PS3 or Wii is far and above beyond what is requried to develop one for the Xbox 360's Indie Games channel...
Even in terms of monetary means it costs thousands of dollars to just get a dev kit from Sony and Nintendo.
Not a stab!
More of an observation. I won't say that the XBLIG will every fully become like an app store, but there's little stopping it from becoming so in the future unless MS steps in and starts steering it a bit more.
I mean, come on, 5 massage apps?
For the record, I love the XBLIG service. My recent fav is Jump! but I always dug Biology Battles, Clover, Being, and... of course... I MAED A GAME WITH ZOMBIES!!!1
I mean nothing against M...
I've seen massage apps, as well as screensavers, interactive novels, and other such things that definitely could not be considered games.
I'm not saying it will be exactly like an app store, but calling the area Xbox Live Indie Games is starting to become a bit of a stretch with many non-games making it in.
Oh and I'm also NOT saying this is a good thing. I'd love for Microsoft to step up a little and demand content be a game, but that can't happen without tightenin...
After playing the Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo I can see why they thanked them. Uncharted 2 has a great multiplayer and it's obvious that they learned a lot from those two companies that, really, pioneered multiplayer shooters on consoles.
Very classy, ND.
(No sarcasm)
Well I don't believe there is any building or crafting, so, in that sense, it's probably not like Minecraft.
Graphically yes, and it is destructible.
