a game you really hoped would be brilliant turns out not to be a world beater, so you ignore the facts and keep moaning on about how great it is compared to games on a rival console which score consistently higher across dozens of reviews, and how anyone who thinks otherwise is stupid.
grow up!
that's an official insult on here now?
goodbye, N4G.
needs to only contain 5 games, or change title to 'top 20 breasts'
Braid's the best game I've played this year. It's as good as Portal, and very similar, simpler in execution but more inventive and cunning in its puzzles and gameplay ideas. There's so much that's totally new here.
I'd be very surprised if it doesn't get ported to the PS3, and maybe the Wii too. I'm even going to resist making a frame rate gag here.
I really hope it turns into a massive hit, and Jonathan Blow makes a lot of money from it, and its success encourages o...
very sad, RIP.
it's the framerate at 1080p
FFXIII has been in development for so long on the PS3 that they're not going to gimp it in order to release multiplatform - even if that was a true concern, which it isn't, IMO. I imagine this decision was made recently, so they'll just be working on a port of the PS3 version.
the only real technical edge the PS3 has over the 360 is Blu-Ray's disc capacity, and as Blue Dragon showed (although it's not a great game) you can make up for that on RPGs like this by having several disc...
it's not like it's being pulled for the PS3 - you'll still get to play it (and not have to swap discs). I don't understand this unhappiness about games also being released for the other console. I just have a 360, and am happy that PS3 owners will also get to play great games like Bioshock. yeah, exclusives help sell consoles, but both the 360 and PS3 are well enough established now, the market's big enough for two consoles, why does there need to be a 'winner'?
yawn.
there's nothing one console can do that the other can't. they both have their advantages in certain areas, but the multi platform developers all say they're more or less equivalent.
it's only where something is an exclusive, do they start with rubbish like this.
the E2160 overclocks to 3.0 GHz with the stock cooler and voltage, I wonder why they only pushed it to 2.3, then said that its speed was bottlenecking the budget CPU setup?
but the conclusion is valid - if you're building a gaming PC rig, overclock a cheap CPU and spend the money saved on a bad boy GPU.
a couple of 8800GTs in SLI would be a better way to spend the money than a 9800GTX though.
they look identical to me. I'm a 360 owner, and thought the GPU was a lot more powerful than the PS3's, but this game shows that maybe it's just been poor development. You get a lot of fanboyism on the game sites even among developers, but I'm reading more these days that devs think the 2 systems have pretty much the same power. which is a good thing, if one console failed, there wouldn't be the competition to drive improvement.
can't resist a quick dig though - my version will...
must be right then.
and 3 exclusives vs 2 == domination?
weak reporting all round.
