bungie isn't under the activision umbrella like IW was at all. They signed on for a 10 year deal for 1 IP only. which Bungie is also calling a universe. well GTA on PS3 had a better color palette than the 360 version. At least on my TV. But it could be that my 360 at the time when it released had no HDMI. I used component then. My PS3 had HDMI and color wise it looked more vivid. Not saying this is why just suggesting.
Better atmosphere? just cause the lighting is good doesn't mean the atmosphere is better. GOW III has a great atmosphere and so does uncharted, KZ was good as well, Dead Space had a great atmosphere so your argument is kinda mute. Your basing your opinion off of screenshots of darkness... on stills. Gears of War has a wonderful atmosphere, and these games have great overall atmosphere. I always thought the game looked like Alone in The Dark. The game looks like a 1st year 360 game when its not in a dark setting. In the darkness the lighting effects are great but other than that it looks mediocre. And graphics do matter when trying to immerse a player into the game world. especially when people have played better games with better graphics that immerse players very well. To them alan wake might just seem meh.

I beat Splinter cell in 5 1/2 hours. But that isn't the problem I have with the game.
this is supposed to be next gen right. well how come in the old gen Splinter cells you could climb on everything and disable NPC's in any way you saw fit, whereas in this one the you only get at max 3 different choices to do so. The difference is you limit the user to within the environment which used to be much more open. Hiding bodies was needed in order to keep the stealth aspect of the game.

MGS4 has a very robust MP mode... You are a true fanboy... at least play these games and then comment and on avg MGS4 is longer than 5 hours. Splinter Cell is being blasted for changing it's own formula. Go back and play "Pandora Tomorrow" and "Chaos Theory", then play "Double Agent". Gow III is 8-11 hours dpending on how good you are. Thats the avg length of single player action adventure games. Splinter cell has always been longer than 5 hours and offered more in the multiplayer department. There is no excuse for a Splinter cell game to only be 5 hours on the single player campaign.
