Microsoft took a completely different approach with the Xbox One X than the PS4 Pro. The Xbox One X is charging a $100 more and seems to really like bragging how it is the most powerful console ever made. The PS4 Pro was made as an interval console with 4K capabilities at a reasonable price. If it charged $499 I would have said the same thing about it.

The PlayStation 4 Pro is also doing pretty good fro what it is. I think like 20% of PlayStation 4 sales recently were Play...

What do you disagree with? These articles are to generate discussion and get people thinking and talking. I just don't see the big selling point of the Xbox One X, but feel free to discuss and actually tell me what you think. I'm curious into what people see and there has been some great discussion so far.

That's fine! Why are you buying one? What draws you to the console over the PlayStation 4 Pro? Is it just the extra power or does it have something else going for it?

I've never said this is the last console and I certainly hope Microsoft keeps making more just for the sake of competition. Why do you think it will succeed? What do you think Microsoft is banking on to sell the console? Microsoft has given me very little reason to be anything other than skeptical of their console this generation.

They did with the PS4 and Xbox One because they were the start of a new generation, this is not. I cod be wrong, but I just don't think devs will bother going beyond what the PS4 Pro can manage.

Norse Mythology is really cool, and that is actually one of my problems with the trailer so far. I haven't seen enough of the really cool stuff yet. The enemies all look like similar versions of things we have seen in the previous games. I want some new stuff to slaughter.

I don't think it will be a bad game, I'm certainly going to buy it. I just wonder if it will be a good God of War game.

I admit that Ascension wasn't the best but GOW 3 was one of my favorites. The pure scale of that game won me over immediately.

That's because I have little experience with the Xbox One. I just wasn't too interested in any of their exclusive games and became less interested when they all started coming to PC as well.

That was actually something I touched on a bit, I almost wonder if this game would have been better if it was a new franchise. A brand new franchise that doesn't have Kratos and his journey hanging over its head. It could also be better as a God of War game as we see Kratos evolve as a character who suddenly ran out of hate. It is interesting and I'm excited to see the results.

I do agree that Ascension may have been a little too much like the previous entries. I'm not afraid of change, but I think it does merit some reasons to be cautious until we can play the game for ourselves and get some more gameplay video.

It very well may be, but that is kind of my point. People are getting very excited, and I see why, but I think there are a few reasons to be cautious. The combat seems different, bad or good different I don't know yet, and the father/son dynamic is not and easy one to pull off, especially in this style of game. I feel there are good reasons to be cautious about the game right now.

Kratos in the first God of War was actually a pretty cool character, but he did become less of the focus as the action took over, which I didn't mind too much because the action was so incredible.

The new Norse setting is actually very exciting and why I've been disappointed in the trailer so far. Nothing seems to take full advantage of the different settings and everything I've seen so far just seems like slightly different versions of creatures and items from...

I do welcome stronger storytelling. The father/son combination is a risky move, however, and I need to see just how well they pull it off without it becoming annoying. If done well, it will be amazing. If not, however, then it could really hurt the game.

Actually, the reason I'm cautious about it is because I've played and loved the other games. Things are certainly going to be different this time around and I don't want to assume that everything is going to be a good different. I'm excited that they are trying something new, but I'm still going to be cautious about it rather than assume that everything is going to be just as good or better than before. That is how you get burned. I'm excited to see how the game is and...
