Judging by the small amount of comments when I wrote this, many have just ignored this article all together. But I have to say... skipping rope is a thousand times better than console, PC or mobile gaming, hands down.

Almost every title I have ever owned have been exclusive. They are consistently more polished and more of an experience. Competition makes them that way, take that away and we will just have more average games.

...just traded in my DS lite yesterday. Found it in a box covered in Dust. Mario games always suck me in to buying Nintendo products but very quickly after that I loose interest. To me the 3DS is just a DS lite in 3D.

The PSP phone uses Android as it's OS so that is not true. And the new "PSP2" NGP will probably use Android too. Both devices have buttons and d-pad.
Lots of people have smart phones and Tablets/iPads for doing a multitude of things... watch movies, listen to music, surf the web and play games. That is the attraction to these devices, they are multi-devices. But saying that they are going replace game focused devices is absurd. Just like Facebook games are not going to replace consoles.
