Forgot about this gem..... can't wait!
That's incorrect. Rumours had been circling for 2yrs
I'd put Ubi there as well
No mate your ps4 pro comparison is nonsense. Once current gen support gets dropped the series S will free up the CPU bottlenecks from all current gen consoles. Also the SSD should become the new baseline standard (providing pc SSD adoption is at a feasible level) which along with the CPU will fundamentally change game design.
Reduced RAM in the series x would be more cause for concern
No stick drift you reckon. I've had a shocking time with stick drift on my ps4 controllers! My xbox one's....not so much. To be fair my ps4 clock up the hours quicker.
And thou shall become immortal .............selling phillica seeds and health potion to better men for ever and ever and ever!
That's subjective, if third parties perform better along with game pass and xbox all access it will be a no brainer day one purchase for me. But the minute Sony drops that 1st AAA exclusive that's up my alley I'll be jumping all over that shit!
I don't give a fuck how many consoles they sell. It's a far better deal for me and my taste. Still love my ps4 exclusives more than anything. But as a consumer I'm stoked xbox is offering me something different that's great value. Is the business model sustainable? Who knows, I don't particularly care. I'll just enjoy the service, the games and the savings in the interim
And when I got RDR2 for $1 that was a bad deal? Metro exodus? The value is undeniable.
Highest frames for a console on gamepass. Love the service. Don't stress I'll have a ps5 day1 too! It's not complicated heaps of people love the value that gamepass brings and the games you play that you may of slid under your radar. Would I like a better looking halo...sure, but gamepass is still stupidly good value and something I don't want to go without.
I game on a 120hz monitor so there's added value there for me....but I'm the minority.
People posting on N4G are not the average gaming consumer. Of course they are going to try and draw some attention to the event. I agree many xbox execs have talked too much in the past....but this week....this is the time to talk!
@ Foxtrot, this is the dumbest comment I've seen on N4g this year....no explanation required.
That's where the word native comes in I guess. Instead of emulation
So has your check cleared then? To you it's clear as day, for others not so much. I'll get one at launch and one between Chrissy and new years. Love playstation exclusives and game pass is sensational!
For most the issues seems to be the shitty thermal paste and /or pads. Changed mine on my pro two weeks ago and it's gone from a jet engine to whisper quiete. Shouldn't be required for a console (that only gets moderate use by some people's standards) that's only 2yrs old.
Obviously playstations dramatically larger user base will be a massive factor but also remember this was Sony's E3 equivalent event. Microsoft will have alot more watch there July event compared to their last "inside xbox" show.....but obviously still less than Sony's event
Love what both are bringing to the table, but I'll take low noise and reliability over the cosmetic appearance any day of the week. The PS5 design looks awesome though. Buying both day 1, or atleast this year.
Same here, happened within two weeks. Bit the bullet and changed the poorly applied thermal paste and pads recently once I started getting overheating shutdowns on Warzone. Now it's whisper quite. You shouldn't have to do that when you buy a companies premium console though.
Let's use our heads, the is a fundamental rule of marketing that both Sony and Microsoft engage in like clockwork. Their respective marketing teams would be letting their platforms down not to do this. Take the blinkers of and stop drinking the coolaide.
Both are light on at launch as per usual so I run the series X as my 3rd party box at launch and will pick the PS5 up alongside Horizon.
