Of course they're doing it, $quare Enix is determined to milk their franchise to the death no matter how many good games they have to trample to do it.
12 most generic games of 2014
Gee I wonder what they're going to give it.
A Halo 4 designer calling somebody lazy? How embarrassing.
Skyrim, really? The game has a palette of two, maybe three colors. And the bestiary is beyond generic.
2001 should at least be top 5.
GTA3
Silent Hill 2
Halo
FFX
SSB Melee
MGS2
DMC
Advance Wars
Ico
Black & White
Jak & Daxter
Conker
Farewell PS2, second best console of all time. This is one of the ones I still have hooked up.
They're talking about games as a whole, and most games do have terrible stories and one-dimensional characters. Story is only one part of gaming, and they never once say that games are incapable of emotional impact. Spielberg has been involved with many games in the past and Lucas founded LucasArts; obviously they are not insulting all games. Writer is drawing conclusions from nothing.
This is not the most beautiful game of this console generation. The character designs and environments have no personality and the color palette is dull and lifeless. It's about on par with the rest this console generation visually.
The huge announcement is that now that the Xbox One is announced they will abruptly stop supporting the 360 and will be releasing no more games for it.
I like the sound of 8 new exclusive franchises in the first year on the Xbox One. I would have liked to have seen some of those games though and the idea of paying extra for used games hurts. Right now the PS4 still sounds better to me.
1. Arkham City
2. Fallout 3
3. Skyrim
4. Uncharted 2
5. Minecraft
I am not opposed to Nintendo keeping their old franchises alive, I just wish they'd put more effort into developing new stuff. If even one of the games in this list was a new IP, it would give me much more faith in the Wii U.
It's always the same old thing with Nintendo.
That is true, Chrono Trigger was the first thing in the history of storytelling to have a floating city in it.
Bribe 10 forthcoming.

Well, Pixar did shoot straight down the tube as soon as they were acquired. Their last good movies were already in development prior to that.
No backwards compatibility is a deal breaker for me. I don't want another fucking console in my living room.
I wonder if Oregan will evolve into Montanie and then into Idahog.
I wish these articles would indicate which games are PSN only and which are getting physical releases.
