This is what I am very wary of too. This game has been on my radar, I wanted to love it despite the naysaying but the clunky control system for alternating between spells in the beta ruined it for me. That and how lifeless the world felt beyond just roaming enemies. I hope it is just more related to the story and theres more to it. For now I will just wait and see
I'm most likely wrong but I feel like the reason we aren't seeing the graphical leaps we used to see between generations is because the industry is stuck on trying to optimize a game so "previous" generations can play the game and because a majority of the games we have now are cross-gen/cross/play.
If they focused solely on current gen I bet they could easily optimize it to run at 60fps .
I respectfully disagree, and this is coming from someone who sucks ass at souls games (and im not humblebragging or exaggerating).
I beat her after several days worth of tries (I wont lie it was with ashes but my point still stands I beat her).
After I stopped trying to mindlessly spam R1 or panic rolling and then learning her moves it clicked for me.
Also I noticed theres a ton of people that have this stubborn mindset that they cant use spell...
@Eidolon. Some people have other games they would like to play (including huge backlogs) as well as actual life responsibilities such as families, work, school, etc. I get where you are coming from and that it will take maybe a few minutes to login just to make sure you are within that 30-day window but it is still annoying at best for someone who is busy.

Yes.
It gets more exposure and I usually hear about things first on E3 whereas I might miss it on reddit, twitter, etc because of how often a feed gets inundated with new stuff.
Also you get to hear announcements strait from the source whereas most sites these days are click-bait over fluffed opinion pieces with padded content that usually distorts or skews the message or points being presented.

They should be cheaper. with physical i understand , having to make and print not only the discs but the container it comes in, shipping, packaging and storage and all that plus the retailer getting their cut.
