It’s because video games still have the “it’s for children” stigma attached to it. It really is no different than, like you said, sports team, phone companies or anything else comparable to one another. Now that being said, I don’t do it myself because I’m my opinion, too many people take it to a level it should never go lol.

Good point. It makes you wonder how the game would have been received if it launched in the condition it was in. It might of possibly killed the franchise or, at the very least, caused it to take a long hiatus.
