I'm sure they will.
These remakes are a good way to reel back in the fans of the original games (and show that the series is in good hands) and introduce Crash to younger players who never played the originals. Crash 4 (or whatever they call it) will come after.
No, not everyone. Speak for yourself.
The realistic levels are jarring and don't fit the Mario aesthetic at all to me either.
Rayman Jungle Run and Fiesta Run were fantastic, but you can buy both games for much less than the price of this, even on release day. I personally can't justify purchasing a mobile game for $10.
What's with the disagrees? Crash hasn't been relevant since the PS1 and there is a HUGE audience with Skylanders that might not be familiar with the character or the original games. This is a great way to introduce them to the character, whether or not YOU like these games. Skylanders isn't for me but Sony and Activision aren't putting Crash in the game for no reason.
It's slow so that he moves at a similar speed to the other Skylanders characters.
This is a neat introduction to Crash for the younger fans of Skylanders. It's obvious that Vicarious Visions respects the series and I can't wait to see what they do with the remasters/remakes and the new game we all know is coming...
He most likely won't even bother. His game reviews are few and far between these days. Look at his channel - nothing but trailer reactions, movie reviews and lets plays.
Mass Effect: Andromeda was officially announced over a year ago and had been teased and talked about for years before that. It's due out in several months and we have yet to see any gameplay. This was its final E3 appearance and we barely got a trailer.
Kojima's Death Stranding has only been in development for a few months and isn't due out any time soon. Last December, when he formed his new studio, they only had four staff to start with. The game is years away...
This is the artwork Vicarious Visions showed off for their version of Crash:

While the Skylanders model is still based on this artwork, the body proportions have been exaggerated to fit the Skylanders aesthetic. The model they will be using for the remasters and possible new game will look different.
Vicarious Visions also developed Crash Nitro Kart, which is highly underrated IMO. They are huge Crash fans.
I agree that the review is well written and articulated. I enjoyed the game so obviously I disagree with the author on most of their criticisms, but they do back up their arguments well. Why do fanboys lose their minds over other peoples opinions? I mean, if you enjoy the game, great; if not, oh well...
Just look at all the downvotes you're getting for defending a mixed review for a game you loved. Is this really what the gaming community is like??? Sad.
Another re-imagining? Why would you prefer that over something new? This game was great as a one off thing, but if it means no more ORIGINAL Ratchet and Clank games, I'm going to be very disappointed.
So was Into the Nexus.
For me, the only disappointing R&C game was Full Frontal Assault. I even enjoyed All 4 One a fair bit.
Why are you getting disagrees? Wow... I agree with you. Platinum Games are quickly becoming one of my favorite developers. Pretty incredible they are working on two huge RPGs that are so different from each other. Can't wait for both of 'em.
The Devil's Backbone. Pan's Labyrinth is only a spiritual successor to that film, so it doesn't really matter. Both are fantastic films though!
@Fries1223
And how is that any different from ANY OTHER GAME?
S/T, Bomber, Overkill, Bastards & Aftershock.
I was really impressed by Aftershock. Motorhead's output has always been consistent, but that album brought back some groove I felt their last few had been missing. Bad Magic wasn't a bad send-off either, considering Lemmy's health problems.
@Crimzon
Rise might be a better game than the last one, but that doesn't mean anything if it underperforms. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this ends up being the last Tomb Raider game this gen.
Unfortunately, PS4 and PC sales won't help Rise much. By the the time it releases on these platforms it will be too late. There will be NEW games coming out grabbing people's interest and I can't imagine anybody will want to pick up an older game...
Yep. That's the very definition of fanboy and unfortunately they exist every fandom, not just Nintendo.
Personally I couldn't care less about the platform, which is why I own both an X1 and PS4. It's the quality of the game that matters.
I'm not defending the post-ND Crash games here, but some of you people really have no idea what you are talking about here. Activision only published the last main installment (2008's Mind over Mutant), which was already in development when Activision purchased the rights to the series in 2008, after absorbing Sierra/Vivendi.
Activision have not developed a single Crash game, aside from the mobile cart racers.
Oh geez... He's saying this isn't news, not that the video itself is fake.
