money isn't always the determining factor. Unless you refer EA, Ubi, Capcom ...
Economic sense also involves personal preferences and the gains that an individual gets from engaging in a specific activity.
Insomniac have their reasons to remain exclusive and so do valve and team ninja. Maybe they have a strong relationship with sony? maybe they want to challenge the ps3? maybe sony paid them more? etc.
I'm just saying that those factor shouldn't be over...
You can hate SONY all you want but they give smart people what they want:
- QUALITY
- INNOVATION
You just have to pay the price. Or you can save the difference and buy a second 360.
@ 1.7 You should avoid senseless statement about the economy and politics. Bush and clinton dont have THAT much influence on the economy.
leaving japan behind would be a disaster for the 360 in term of public relations toward consumers and developpers.
You cant hope to develop a strong brand with that kind of behaviour..
mario kart?
@1.1 sure and the average dude knows how to do all that....
i *think* that they would prefer buy and watch HD-media (that being bluray).
even if small companies dont want to take the ps3 risk, its for the best because high costs and high risks will lead to some unexpected jewels being released on the ps3. (and crap too, like lair, but thats part of the deal)
bring KZ2, GT5, FF13 and the others!
think of it as natural selection.
/me hugs mike
dmc is on its way to reach the million mark.
The jap have always been more innovative because in the past their culture was rooted in tradition and they lost their edge when they came in contact with the western civ it was somekind of a trauma.
Anyways, as pointed out b4, the FPS market in the west is as crowed and boring as the action/adventure market in the east.
COD4 doenst bring anything new, it just perfects everything that has been made before (e...
Unreal engine lost its edge, it was relevant in the early 2000'
but now it seem to be outclassed with each new engine released.
Ubi used to do a great job with that engine (splinter cell, graw, etc.) but the recent games seem to lack something. (R6, graw2)
Hand tailored clothes always fit you better than ready-to-wear clothes.
maxis blew it with the latest sim city... sucks
@1.2 bubbles for u.
The nuke part is very well crafted.
its nice to finally see a mainstream fps showing the war from that point of view. (something the tom clancy's lack)
+bubbles @ infinity ward.
Asset size isn't the only thing that matters.
you have to look at free cash flow, growth opportunities and stock market valuation.
What a joke..
"its the best game ever but we don't like the way they displayed the ending credits... 7/10"
The "repetitive environement" & "sucky puzzles" critics could be applied to gaiden sigma and yet that game got 9/10. (its worthy of a 9/10 tho)
Gamespot has no consistency, thats a shame.
maybe its 10.5 life time.
and 9.5 for 2007 (fiscal year ending in march)
its a shame it has to be exclusive. meh
and the world asks for more
+bbles @ 2.2

anyways, fanboy.website++;
is RROD included? or do we need to purchase it separately?
@ 1.1 but the ps3 user base is growing faster...
Nothing surprise to the fact that the 360 sells more software.
It has been selling software for an additional 12 months and has a bigger user base. Thats no argument.
