Man I hope people can see the difference. I cringe playing GTA v on my ps3 which is hooked up to my to my 27" computer monitor. I guess you get spoiled with 8-16x aa and 1080p on my PC, but I definately didn't pay $500 for it either.
I don't believe that is the case with oculus. Its done with a shader, rather than two separate frames. I'm not sure the performance impact of that shader but I seem to recall its not that large
The yellow fps counter in the top left is fraps. He has Vsync on I believe because he caps out at 50, but quite often it drops below...
You should try Canada some time... I really hope you are a flame baiter :D I'm not in to a bunch of fat Americans... sorry
Sounds about right for an insurance company...
@UltimateMaster
The biggest draw for me is the game streaming option. I could see installing steam OS on my laptop and leaving windows on the gaming pc. That way I can just boot up the laptop on a light weight OS and essentially stream a video. That could make for some great battery life!
I'm guessing this looks much better in person... There are some really weird frame rate things going on with the camera. At first I thought it was remote play failing, but his fingers have some serious ghosting as well when they move...
@agentsmithps4
I think what they meant is that even 1080p doesn't look amazing on the rift. For a full fov they are aiming for 4k resolution and you need 60 fps on the rift or it breaks immersion completely...
I just don't see the ps4 or Xbox one doing 4k 60fps for commercial games. It could work for indie games maybe on the consoles, but that's a small market.
The problem with 40fps is that its not 60fps or a multiple of it. Vsync is just that Vertical Sync. HDMI sends 60fps regardless so then you need to match that image sent. If you can't, you drop it down and get 2 frames of the same image. 40fps would result in tearing because the image couldn't match the TV refresh rate. That's assuming my understanding of vsync is right, which it may not be :) The idea with gsync is that the TV actually changes it's refresh rate to the exact f...
I'll probably just pick it up for my ps3 and get if for PC as well if it's announced! I really hope I can enjoy this game in full 1080 with some serious AA
Wow, this has nearly as many signatures as the petition for a PC edition!

This is like comparing CS:GO to COD....
The PS4 looks pretty sweet and I'll get one, but I just hope that this means that all the PC multiplats that I buy will be more optimized...
I'm a PC gamer and in my opinion, it comes down to optimization. When you only need to dev for 1 set of hardware and you know its exact properties, its easier to get performance
This game is looking simply stunning!
The issue is that people want a console for 6 years and want graphics to get better. Sure there is some optimization, but they really get that done by trading graphics for fps. At least this gen it seems... Unless 60fps is mandated, I'm guessing things will drop to 30 in the name of shiny graphics...
Wait what? This game still exists? This was like middle school for me lol. Classic mmo
I just really hope that they get it right on pc. The fact that they are Treyarch dedi servers could actually help us. I know people are in a fuss about this, but look at CS:GO on pc. Other than there not being a good matchmaking system on competitive, the servers are all fine from valve. I don't have an issue with this if it curbs hackers, or at least hacked lobbies...
I mean, I don't use it personally yet on my gaming rig, but I am starting to use it on my laptop. I actually like the metro for the basic tasks (not a touchscreen), you just really have to be a keyboard shortcut user. I always was, so for me, I do like the metro. A few tips to new users, right click the bottom left start popup for a whole lot of classic options such as control panel. If that doesn't work for you, just start typing when you are on the Metro UI, and you can get to all t...
