This is written by the same guy who called Cyberpunk the greatest game ever made. Feel free to disregard this article.
Buying a Series S is equal to shredding $300
PS5 = intelligently made machine with all components perfectly flowing together and assisting each other in maximizing performance in every way for years to come.
XBOX = off the shelf PC parts smooshed together in hopes of brute-forcing performance.
Finished Cyberpunk - 6.5 / 10
Gonna try to be fair:
Pros
Stylistic visuals and good framerate
Sometimes strong storytelling (2nd half)
Some cool characters (Keanu)
Cool music
Has potential with many patches
Cons
Buggy, messy with a lot of crashes
Feels very raw, half baked and unfinished
Inconsistent storytelling
Needlessly complex RPG elements
@ masterfox their lesson not they lesson.
No problems on PS5. Frame rate is locked at 60 (nearly) and the game looks great. I hear the Series X version is a mess that can drop to 0 fps though...
Great for Halo but a terrible business move for MS if they are trying to get out of the blocks fast.
Guys…this show was a disaster of epic proportions. Let’s be serious here please.
For months we’re been hearing that the XBOX’s 12 teraflops and unforeseen power would result in visuals that would put PS5’s to shame on July 23rd and would show us what next gen is all about.
What we witnessed are graphics that weren’t even as impressive as PS4 let alone PS5. Nothing looked as good as The Last of Us Part 2 or Ghosts of Tsushima. Nothing looked as good as even Resid...
So from what I gathered Unreal Engine 5 won't be able to run on XBOX Series X?
Just remember that you said that. :)
Why is the "M" in Shenmue capitalized you filthy casual!?
@Aceman18
And only 473 hours of gameplay to get all that stuff, right Aceman?
Does it run at 480p?
This is some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game. Really amazing stuff.
This is really a fantastic game! If you like FF games or have some interest in MMORPGs, buy this immediately. It is very fun and enjoyable.
Why would anyone still game on an LED/LCD is beyond me.
Surprisingly it's less ugly now.
If this wasn't mentioned already I want to go over the differences. Most people here have a 1080p TV with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The signal that you feed into that TV can consist of many different resolutions but it's mainly either 720p (1280 x 720 resolution) or 1080p (1920 x 1080 resolution).
Keeping all that in mind, think to yourself. If you feed a 720p signal to a 1080p TV, will it really look as good at a 1080p signal being fed into a 1080p TV?
"almost" doesn't count.
5090 FE here and no problems at all.
