This is the biggest WTF of the year hands down.
I joked around with Disney wattering down Marvel but that's hardly true. Some of you make very good points.
However, while it's true that Marvel now being backed by Disney is almost the same as Warner Borthers owning DC Comics, mind you as a long time DC supporter(I enjoy Marvel's movies too), I also this isn't quite the same.
Warner owns DC Comics, but DC Comics can only push or two movies out for their character...
There's just one delicious irony in all this.
Sonic is considered dead, yet he continues to be the most successful franchise on Sega's roster. Valkyria Chronicles, Mad World, Empire: Total War and future releases such as The Conduit, Alpha Protocol and Bayonetta will likely never reach the numbers that Sonic Unleashed alone has achieved, or the Mario&Sonic which is still selling even after being released over 2 years ago.

Well, it's pretty bad news. I mean the game's out in 10 days or so.
But I doubt it will hurt Resident Evil's overall numbers.
I mean, early leaks did no damage to Halo 3, GTA 4 and the two Gears of War's game sales.
The way I see it, the way some people treat Sonic these days feels like that one guy in your group of friends that once had a great girlfriend, but now he just can't stop pestering them about how he had it good back then and still hasn't moved on with his life, even though her dream ex has done this a long time ago.

If bad games would hurt Sonic in the long run,then that seems unlikely to happen at this point. Sonic's plunge into a hit-and-miss affair has been going on for more than 10 years.

It manages to capture the brown-ish feel of the Akira Toryama comic and cartoon.
Toryama wasn't exactly too happy with drawing complex landscapes, so most fights take place in somewhat simplified areas.
Like a dessert or mountains, which this movie captures easily.
But the Ki blasts push this movie into fantasy territory in a way that definately puts The Forbidden Kingdom to sham...
Considering Sonic the Hedgehog for the Xbox 360 and PS3 was one of the all time worst Sonic and one of the worst game that have ever existed, this doesn't come off exactly as a surprise.
The Sonic and the Secret Rings producer once did say that that game was clearly rushed, especially when only one available team had to work on both versions of the game.

All of those new versions have been commercial failures on Xbox, PS2 and GC.

I've always thought that being a Brand Manager would be lots of fun, especially if you're into videogames.

I see the mentality here... Have Sega comment on rumors that both they(Kotaku) and Sega know that are untrue to begin with before a show starts, so that everybody's going to be excited abou8t something that's never going to actually be shown, thus leading to chronic dissapoinment.

After reading some posts here's what I think:
Splinter Cell Conviction's case was different, the game at the time was considered too similar to Assassin's Creed and it essentially got sent back to the drawing board, even with the amount of trailers and promo art already freely;
On Alan Wake's case, we haven't seen OR heard anything in over 3 years.
If Microsoft in charge of the media blackout then I have to say they are doing a horrible job.

A poorly converted game gets a 38/40 on Famitsu. A near perfect score. That's a lot for a bad port.
The differences on the PS3 version are minimal. Less contrast, slighty blurry, slightly less framerate(though when both version were shown seperately there was barely any difference). Hardly game breaking.
