Actually, based on FPS available to play at PAX. I'm blinded by my potential love for Titanfall.
Here, let me help you finish reading that article. This is the last paragraph.
"When it was all said and done, Ryse left me with the impression that this is the quintessential launch title. It’s pretty to look at. It shows off a lot of what the Xbox One can do graphically. I wasn’t enamored with the gameplay. It could use some tweaks that I’m not sure can happen within the two months before launch."
Yep, total fanboy.
Its not a review, its a preview. Second, it is my opinion. Most of you seem to disagree, great. If you like slow, crappy first-person shooters, more power to you. The fact that Blacklight Retribution was directly across from Killzone and played faster and looser says a lot to me about the quality of Killzone as I perceive how I want a FPS.
This game has always tried to compete with the big boys and it doesn't hold up. I also named Transistor best of show. Bring on the fla...
If you haven't seen it in person, you are likely to be more impressed with how it looks. I hated KI and KI2 back in the day. It looked like rendered garbage back then. Now that graphical capabilities have improved so much, KI seems to fit right in with what they can do. It is pretty impressive what they have done, even if it apparently doesn't run at 1080p
There will be 8 characters available if you pay the full retail price at launch. That's what the guy at the booth told me. But yeah, most games I feel have WAY too many characters now. That said, 8 is like SFII. That's crazy to me.
Wouldn't you say that about any new franchise? This is not Dead Island by any stretch, so if that is your frame of reference, it is extremely different.
I really wish something like Destiny was at PAX to compare it to. Right now, it rules the floor. Lines have been capped out 10 minutes into the doors opening and throughout the day.
The Xbox One was not number 1 on Amazon until AFTER they backtracked and even then, Amazon has a few different bundles for PS4.
I gotta ask. How'd you know I was an asshole? Worshipped? Lol okay buddy
For the record. I have a PS4 preordered. Did it the moment they blew everyone way at E3. Microsoft's reversal doesn't change my buying decision either. I upgraded my video card, so I'm ready to go PC and then PS4 for a while. Xbox One can come later after a price drop.
I just love how one person can hold up a submission because they are too ignorant to read the content.
Keep in mind, this is not a list, this is each editors' one singular favorite game.
I thought about FFVII, but I think people look at it with rose colored glasses due to the fact that it was really the first mainstream RPG and many gamers' first experience with an RPG.
The rest on your list, I don't care for.
We actually rated it 5 out of 5 in our review. Probably one reason it doesn't quite make the list.
FFXIII and XIII-2 aren't even close to the best JRPGs this or any generation.
There is no denying that the best JRPG in the last couple of years are on the Wii
I don't agree with the statement they had zero affect whatsoever.
If you go free shipping, you won't get it first day, but for the price, can't argue with it.
I agree. I just wish they'd do better pricing on packs for Xbox 360.
I think they should make good games and the MP demo on display was not good.
