it depends on the game and situation really.
However i think the soundtrack is really important because it makes you feel certain emotions and can sometimes make a game more enjoyable. games like ac revelations, uncharted 3 and crysis 2 have great soundtracks, for example this crysis 2 track made the part of the game pretty amazing:

here in new zealand the standard version of mw3 cost $153, most games cost $129

i hope Hanz Zimmer is doing the soundtrack for
modern warfare 3. i think either assassin's creed revelations or uncharted 3 will have the best soundtrack of 2011.
