There are literally thousands of factors to consider when creating games to run at a desired specification. PC players don't need so much tweaking as the hardware is usually (I say usually, for an active gamer) significantly more up to date than console hardware. You may argue that it takes more engineering to get it work on the vast array of different hardware components. However, more and more game engines have become a lot more streamline in hardware compatibility in recent years, resu...
@thisgamer503 The PS4 was released in 2013. It will be 3-4 years later that the new one will be released. Whereas the time between the Xbox One S and the Scorpio will be a year or possibly less. A lot can change in hardware development in the technology world. That said, 3 years (I'd prefer 4) is a better time to upgrade a console. Plus you can save up for a new one in that amount of time. The only way I can think the Xbox One S is significant/viable, is if the price of Scorpio is through...
@KiwiViper85 That might be so, but why wouldn't they hold out a bit longer and get the scorpio? Since they're casuals I'm sure they can find something to do with their time and money until it's released.
@PinkCrocodile75 what do you think about having two consoles out at the same time causing a divide with xbox users? Do you think that won't happen?
Then Scorpio comes out.
It would have to be the N64 for me. I remember the fun (and stress) of playing Mario64 for the first time, the thrill of Perfect Dark and the awe of Ocarina of Time.
I need four of these for Star Citizen.
Am I the only one miffed at this? The current consoles (soon to be older) will become obsolete and will basically be shafted, as developers will obviously focus on the newer hardware to deliver better performance.
It's all well and good making better consoles, but they should have done it from the start, instead of doing this. People with PS4/Xbox One are going to literally be forced to purchase the newer consoles if they wish to have a better gaming experience (who doe...
So just because you don't gain levels, it's bad? How is having an even playfield from the get-go a bad thing? Some of the best shooter games ever made had no progression system and still thrive today.
Please explain why it's a bad thing.
They did, but it was for special preorders or something to do with another FF game.
It's a waste of development because you don't like it? Two people could manage to do the emotes, minimum. When your taskforce is 100+, having two (or even 10) people do emotes is hardly a waste of development. Besides, emotes were probably something low on the priority list, which they put in after their core work was first completed.
I swear, more and more people complain about every single thing these days.
I'm sure they will also add an ignore ...
Souls games cater to a specific type of gamer. It isn't for everyone - and that's just fine.
New players looking for a solid RPG with serious challenges will find themselves in front of the wall that is Soul games. You can overcome the wall (and become better for it) or just back away and do something else.
Sounds obvious? It is that simple. There's no need to compromise on a middle ground to suit everyone. If that was the case, the market would b...
Just got it. 21:56 UTC+1 in the UK.
Small QoL additions that should have been in at launch. I'm glad they're in now.
@Rookie_Monster: it's nothing to do with the PS4 hardware. To get a stable, quality stream over a network (or the internet) isn't as straight forward as you think it is. Not everyone has a wired super router, so there has to be a standard for all mediums of networking.
I'm sure with some future updates, we might see 1080p over local network. All those people disagreein...
The latter. My point is they want to dress and behave the same way they don't want game characters to be.
You're right about people not caring, I wish these other people did, though.
I've been playing BDO since the EU/NA launch, and I'm loving it. Yes, the tutorial quests are a bit vague, but they aren't incomprehensible - you just need to read the quest information.
If, in a chance, you can't find any information in game about something, you're able to ask other people or check out various Black Desert fan sites. This encourages community engagement, which is a great thing.
At least some companies aren't folding onto, what is essentially, the whims of troubled people.
To put it into perspective for those that might not know, in the UK here, there have been numerous protests performed by girls, regarding what they wear in public - aptly named, "The Slut Walk". They believe they should be able to dress however sexily they desire and behave however they want to without risk to themselves.
With that in mind, all of the...
Blizzard have already changed the restrictions on Season 2 grouping. That article is based off the initial release of the PTR, which is the Public Test Realm. Everything on there is there to be tested and tweaked, so we wont know exactly what the final figures will be until early September when the PTR goes down. http://us.battle.net/forums...
