To be honest, I think the GTA franchise is just a powerful, popular as the COD one. Even though we get a new GTA every 3-4 years we all know what we are getting is 110% quality vs the COD series which we get every year and it lacks in certain departments while in others its a complete beast.

sorry but Socom is the only real tactical shooter still around on the two big consoles. Socom Confrontation started out very and I mean very horrible but slant six patched it up and its straight up old Socom now.
COD, Battlefield, Killzone, etc all cater to new and all players. Socom is for the real team based players with a difficult learning curve..
