I hate the #Battlefield3 August Premium Content Drop as much as the next guy but I'm not gonna sign a petition against it.
We don't need another Mass Effect 3 on our hands, do you really want to be part of that community?
You could at least wait until the November and February bonus drops are released. For all you know DICE could include camos for every weapon in the game and 20+ dogtags in any one of those future packages.
I don't know whether or not this story should be in the culture/offbeat category. Can anyone offer suggestions for the right category or categories to select?
Just go to the search option and type in -[DICE]- and you will then find the official servers. If and when you cannot find a single one then start complaining.
Where is the petition that I can sign to make this not happen?
I too have 40+ games and many are half completed. Some I even brought on release day and have never played them.
I would prefer a Battlefield Bad Company 2 nostalgia pack.

I doesn't matter what you call it. "Map packs" or "Expansions". It should all be free and should come with the game at release, on the disk, ready to play instead of in a later addition.

I don't care how great the reviews/scores are for #Skyrim, so long as this PS3 lag issue still exists it should be a negative zero.
Was hoping that the patch was going to fix the problem and then I was going to purchase the game.
The first trailer for GTA IV came out in March 2007 then the game was released 13 months later in April 2008.
Will GTA V be released on the 2nd of December?
I remember the exact same picture and same sounding story back when Vegas 2 was coming out or maybe some time after it.
Either way I remember the picture that has been provided with this story, just wish I could remember at what point in time it was.
Reminds me of when Snake Eater and Subsistence were delayed for Europe. To be honest we should have seen this coming a long time ago.
It's so regular now that it should just be norm. We do have quite a few games coming up so it will help with spreading them out.
Jaffe has this one right. Too many people go into beta's for games thinking they are to be used as demonstration model.
Then when these people come across bugs/glitches/problems as they usually do during a beta they get the wrong idea of the game and it result's in them cancelling pre-orders or not getting the full game when it comes out.

The only way online would work for Hitman is if they did something along the lines of the Assassins Creed Brotherhood/Revelations multiplayer modes.
If you don't already know how they work, well players must hunt down targets while being hunted themselves (basically).
They also have team modes where a team of 4 players will be the hunters while the other 4 will try to avoid being killed by using the game's hiding mechanics.

Or you could order it from ShopTo.net for a cheaper price, get free 1st class delivery, receive it on the Thursday before the Friday release (as long as you order before 17:00GMT Wednesday) and stay inside playing some FIFA 12 instead of standing outside in the cold waiting for it.
The main use of a multiplayer beta is for the developers to test the server capabilities.
Hopefully after seeing what has happened during this time they will be able to fix it completely by the time the full game launches.
Even if we cannot get on it is still giving the developers a great deal of information that they can use in the future so they can increase server upgrades to cope with the stress.
I laugh at every one going onto the Uncharted 3 beta and complaining that its full of technical issues. There is a reason its called a BETA.
