Not to mention that the final version will have less bugs and mods! <3

I agree. The video is overdue. But I didn't start making videos 7 years ago. So when someone finally starts talking, it's best if we listen because things can still be changed. The trend can still be stopped.

Lmao my argument wasn't about about the game in and of itself but rather about the technical aspect of the game and how broken it is. Saying that Beth is known for the bugs in their games doesn't make it right for them to have bugs in their games. They're a AAA video game publisher in an industry that's making billions. They should have some standards.

The renaissance is already happening. PC is going to be making more money than consoles by the end of 2016. Plus as you said, when VR drops, everyone's going to turn to PC gaming in order to get the full and proper VR experience. I very much doubt Playstation VR will be able to hold its own against Oculus or Vive

I pointed out in the article how PC game sales are going to overtake console game sales by 2016 as reports suggest. PC Game sales will be around $29 billion whereas console game sales will be around $28 billion by the end of 2016.

In terms of DLC, PC is already leading with roughly $21 Billion whereas consoles make $2 billion. This is the current state in 2015.

PC game is very profitable. All fears of "piracy" are over-exaggerated. The issue is ba...

IMO, if more companies actually spend time on optimization on PC, the costs might not soar sky high. We had games such as uncharted 3 on PS3. I'm pretty sure we can have much better games than that on the average PC these days.

Or you know... better for whatever game is coming to not be exclusive whatsoever and let everyone on all platforms play it. Just a thought.

First - It's an opinion article, so it's not a dupe.
Second - It says adorable not honorable
Third - you're too angry for no reason and need to fact check yourself before commenting.

It doesn't mean that it's an inherently bad thing to pander. but it does mean that the market becomes oversaturated with one type of thing.

@bixxel Doubt that'll help. Like, I HIGHLY doubt it. The universe of Batman Arkham series and the universe set up for Superman VS Batman are very different from each other.

looks pretty interesting.

The superman ending, if true, would break the internet.

The writer isn't making a big fuss over race and gender. He's saying that while there is a race/gender problem in the game industry. Witcher 3 is not an example of it. As pointed out by Polygon and other websites.

In the beginning of the article I mentioned how improving on mechanics after borrowing them or stealing them (whichever word you prefer) from other games is actually a good thing but Ubisoft for the most part at this point is basically shoe horning features in just for the sake of putting said features into the game. Character swapping isn't available inside missions and only in freeroam and each mission you'll have to play only via one character for example. It's not improving on...

Agreed. Syndicate is basically Unity 1.5

agreed completely. I understand valve and bethasda perhaps taking 20% or even going as far as 40% of the revenue. But that's honestly as far as I would go, 40%. Since Steam isn't doing /anything/ more than providing the platform and bethasda will not be doing anything at all whatsoever for future modders, atleast nothing that can actually justify them taking that big chunk of the revenue out of modders.

It's crazy to think that there were modders in the beginning ...
