Man, this post is going to get a LOT of negativity, but I don't care - it needs to be addressed. So, it all basically began an hour ago, when I was playing MW2. I joined a game of S&D, and the opposing team was one whole party (as usual...), while I used a Scar-H against them - no attachments, I had just unlocked it. I did reasonably well with it, and at the end of a few rounds, I overheard the other party trying to insult me, calling me a noob!! Woah there, since when was assault rifles for noobs? That's not all: before I even had the chance to message the dude, asking him why he was such a twit, he said to his friends "C'mon, let's leave this total ****ing noob", and they left the match, ending the game. I mean, let's just SUPPOSE the Scar-H was for noobs - is it really worth leaving a match over? A couple of games later, using the same loadout, I get a few more kills, and as the last man standing on the last round, I get noob-tubed. At the scoreboard screen, I see my "killer", and he has the balls to say "That's what you get for using such a sh**ty noob gun, f**ker. Now, hold up a minute - yet again, let's pretend that standard issue guns are for noobs. I know as a fact that a noob tube is one of the mostly recognised "noob" weapons (it's in the name, duh!), and yet he has the cheek to say I'M the one on noobish grounds??? If anyone knows me at all, they know that I don't mind being sweared at, or insulted, as long as it is going somewhere - but calling me a noob, calling me something I'm totally against was the final straw!! I got sick of S&D shortly, and joined a game of domination, although not a good choice. As you know, domination is the headquarters of the noob tube + one man army, RPG, shotgun and spraying techs. Still using the Scar-H, with the newly unlocked red dot sight, my team lost the match - but the only enemy who had an overall negative score messaged me over PSN, yet AGAIN calling me a noob!!!!! AARRGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
You'd think that being on the winning team was good news, but apparently not! I think that something is seriously wrong with the people in this game - either they were just saying I was a noob to piss me off (mission accomplished lol), or they clearly had the expertise of a braindead sock in a microwave. It's not just me: all of my friends use a WIDE range of weapons on MW2, and every single technique is called noobish. Some people draw the line at camping, some draw the line at glitching: some people just rub out the line altogether. I can see that people WILL be pissed off that you killed them, no matter if it is a fancy 360 no scope spin, or a kamikaze RPG. NO ONE likes to die, fact. I think that we've just gotten so pissed off, every single time we die, we immediately think of our captors as noobs; it makes us cope with defeat. The meaning itself has lost all sense these days, and it is my greatest hope that all the noobs realise what a noob truly is. This is when I realised that a noob isn't what everyone thinks it is. To investigate further into the definition of a noob, I went down under to scrape whatever info I could find, and make a startling discovery (lol).
The way we all think of noobs now is someone who uses easy-kill weapons, lacks skill in most area of games, and is annoying as f**k. Well, that IS half right. In actuality, a noob is just plain someone who has no real experience in a game, and dies often. This isn't to say that he uses instant-kill weapons. Honestly, most of these types of noobs get MILLIONS of kills because of their non-skilled easy killing. Ever since CoD4, the meaning has changed itself to fit in with these abominations of the gaming world, and too right!! Who cares what it used to mean, the real problem is that it is different NOW: meaning, it is meaningless :)
I'm as guilty as the rest of you readers: I get just as much satisfaction out of calling someone a noob as the next guy: but I always try to aim this at ACTUAL noobs. Guys, try not to call EVERYONE a noob: it will eventually backfire, like it has with me! Everyone has their own preferences of what a noob is, and what noob weapons are: so, to correct the long-forgotten REAL noobs of MW2, I hereby present what noobs are!
Noobs:
-Camp Excessively (more than a few minutes)
-Glitch into rocks/walls
-Use One Man Army with Noob Tubes
-Kamikaze with RPG-7
-Kill themselves embarrassingly
-Act like assholes while defusing bombs
-Have a nerdgasm over the mic when they get 2 kills in a row T.T
-Talk with a high pitch and have disturbing music in the background
-Use ATHS with Danger Close
-Akimbo shotgun you from across the room
-Can't aim a sniper rifle, but use it anyway
-Spam things
-Try to confront you smart-assedly when you kill them, but start crying when you tell them you are about to hack their account (lies are fun ^^)
-Die a lot, and get a lot of ill-gained kills
-Pass chain letters thinking they are real
-Ruin games
-Should Die.
That, readers, is what a noob is in my books.
So tell me guys: what do you think a noob REALLY is? What is the noobiest thing that has ever happened to you?
WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "I think I really enjoyed Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade because I didn’t spend a lot of time chasing the next Hades clone after the success of the progenitor. There have been attempts, but I missed them, and I didn’t get into the sequel early access yet. So something that reminds me that isometric, fast paced, incrementally improving titles are fun as hell is important, and Yasha hits those notes with aplomb. It’s a bit convoluted, it can be atonal at times, and the voicework is sparse, but it works, and it works really well. Fans looking to put their fingers to work on some speedster striking should definitely pick this up, and be sure to invest in button caps: you’re going to need them."
Neon Apex: Beyond the Limit mixes fast racing and anime flair, but messy handling and visual clutter slow it down.
Bethesda has executed the launch of Oblivion Remastered masterfully, said analyst firm Newzoo, delivering outstanding revenue performance.
Bethesda is better than ever under Xbox.
Here´s hoping they will transition from Creation Engine to UE5 or UE6 for TES VI and Fallout 5 the same way they did with Oblivion Remastered
Also the Skyblivion team invited to Bethesda Studios, now that is a dev I can respect.

Unlike some other studios who are pieces of shit along with Nintendo.
It's definitely closer to a remake as well and for only $50 when they definitely could've charged $70 and still sell very well because of the name. Good on bethesda.
Is a "new" player in a game that has yet to learn the basics. Sometimes I use One man army with grenade launcher just to piss people off and have some fun, because that is what games are about, having fun, not getting all pissy because somebody who you don't even know insulted you.
a "noob" isn't to be confused with "newb", or "newbie". A noob can be someone who has played a game for YEARS lol, and still sucks at it. besudes, some people tend to get pissed off at times, that isn't to say they don't have fun!! :D
Personally I think noobs are people who have played the game a lot but depend on cheap killing tactics like Grenade Launchers/RPG/ATH with Scavenger. Its irritating to find these guys killing my team mates with the same garbage strategy.
People who are new to games are known as rookies. They can't help but suck at the game at first.Just give them time and stick with them and soon they will be killing their way to 1st place.I had this new player with me on Cod4 and she got 3 kills/18 deaths. So I helped her out and she climbed up to 34/7.Now she owns the noobs with grenade launchers and the rookies who are new to the game.
For me if you RPG, or noob tube with danger close or explosive enhancing perk that is when I will consider you a noob. If you dont then I am fine with it.
Camping I dont consider noobish unless that is what you do most of your time playing.
Being new to the game.
Dieing so much with very little kills.
Sending messages telling someone they are noobs or yelling over the mic saying they are noobs.
Newb = Newbie. New player.
noob = One who sucks so they must overuse cheap tactics to gain victory, or are generally obnoxious.
People who say noob outside of online MMOs are themselves noobs.
