I agree. It is totally based on preference. You want to watch blu ray movies and get free online but still play playstation exclusives get a PS3. If you have no need for blu ray and are looking for a good way to spend your money and still get games in HD and are into MS exclusives and xbox live then get a 360. If you're into mario and the innovation of the wii and still have access to old nintendo classics get the wii.

Every console has their own strengths, if they were all combined we wouldn't have any competition which would develop laziness in video games. My console of choice is the PS3 for the reasons mentioned above but that does not mean that the 360 or the wii are inferior it just means ps3 is my console of choice and that's about it. If i could afford all 3 and still get all the games i want then i'd be more than happy but that is becoming less and less practical in today's economy.

Thanks for the comments. As a dedicated Playstation site administrator with ps3thevolution.com I report a lot of gaming info and oftentimes I speak with gamers who oftentimes have a difficult time letting their gaming peers appreciate their console of choice. Odisho68 you are absolutely right, every console has their strengths and definitely their weaknesses. Healthy debating over consoles or software is cool as long as ones preference and opinion can be respected.

This rule will always prevail. you can see comments on here(N4G) that are just plain blind or fabricated all the time due to this simple rule and it wont change. Not just because it's a console war but because thats the nature of people on any site be it about World of Warcraft or whose shoes looked best at the Oscars. Who has what right to have kids or why the military is needed or not... We just like games and find these people(I am not immune btw. I have a preference and think the other side are a bunch of lying tools) because it's what we search. Granted gamers seem to get more heated then perhaps fashion freaks but this site is still a ton better then other. Go check G4 or Gametrailers for some serious bashing. Thats why I stay here because those sites are 100X worse imo.

A good example is when someone tries to compare PS3/360 burnout or Call of duty or Bioshock I just say "PC looks best and is cheapest to play" All I get is disagrees for stating fact... Technically it does look best no doubt. Games are cheaper on PC as well... Fanboys hate that for some reason and never explain the disagree's... It's just that rule.

i have been on n4g for well over 2 years now. i was here before the gamerzone/openzone split. my first user name was dirtrider. after being treated like sh1t on this site for so long i started making "flame names".

why? because this site is way overrun by ps3 fanboys. all the time i see comments by people getting deleted that don't deserve to be deleted, but yet i see ps3 fanboys comments in the GAMERZONE, that need to be deleted, but never are. they use the term "xboxt" in the gamerzone liberally.

if for some god's giving reason they do get their comment deleted, they do not get a ban. why is this site treating some users, in this case ps3 fanboys with favortism? guess i know the answer.....the moderators have to be ps3 fanboys as well.

there is absolutely no other reason than that the moderators are ps3 fanboys as well. i have posted and so has many others about a particular user on this site that pm's others with threats and what not, in the gamerzone so maybe a moderator would see and or do something about it- NO!

this person is a known ps3 fanboy, if you will and they never so much as receive a penalty. here in the states, communicating threats-even online is an offense that is prosecutable. i don't get why n4g and its mods can't treat everyone fairly.

i don't care who has a preference for whatever console, but the pm's i have received as well as others from this user is going way too far. threats should not be tolerated by ps3 fanboys or anyother fanboys for that matter.

this site has gone far from fanboyism, it has reached a new high on here, and the moderators sit back and let this happen. i blame the users that do this stuff on this site only 40%, i blame you the moderators the other 60%

My response would be that it is more convenient to have all the games on one platform than having to shell more money to buy more consoles and waste more space in your living room just to have the full experience instead of using that money to buy more games.

I just buy one console, the one I think is the best for me and stand by it. I used to buy two because I couldn't live without Zelda but Nintendo has changed a lot and the Wii only has one Zelda that I can find for my old GameCube too and play it with better controls then using the fancy overrated piece of crap Wii-mote.

Some people would argue that competition is good and blah blah blah but look at the PC market. Microsoft have been monopolizing the industry since forever and is not that bad. You want everything a computer can offer you? Just buy a computer with Windows on it.

You can use it to surf the web, listen music, utilize different compilers, gaming, watch movies, most things are compatible and are the cheapest. Everybody knows how to use them and are easy to repair and make clones. Vista is not that bad if you ask me. In my opinion it kicks Xp ass and by a huge margin.

My choice for consoles? Sony, they have the most dev studios and an evolving free online service.

My choice for Operating System? Microsoft Windows because you can use it for everything without any problem.

Is not easy to understand a fanboy because you would need to know how they think and what are their reasons. It would need a time consuming study to determined the real reason. It could be that they don't have money to have all the consoles, or like me, that doesn't like to have so many things that do the same damn thing (playing games)occupying space on your room. Maybe they like to argue because they chose one over another and that's like: "your opinion vs mine" or it could be, I don't know...

It is a waste of time to talk about fanboys. They will not change and nothing will happen because we're making blogs or articles about them. I'm like the most neutral person on this site, I only attack the users that enter to PS3 articles to bash it and look how many bubbles I have. That only leads me to think that here on N4G everybody's a fanboy or something. But I don't care, I'm here just to have fun arguing, N4G it's kinda addicting. I read your whole comment but I am confused about the Zelda Comment a little... I am a die hard Zelda fan. always have been and bought the wii just for it. Are you saying the one game on the Wii that is Zelda is also on the GC? I know it is but reading your comment was a little confusing....

honestly I bought the Wii for a number of reasons.
1. Zelda
2. Party toy and my GF can play
3. BC with GC games
4. Virtual Console
5. The few other worth while games i.e. SM Galaxy, Metal Slug

1 and 2 I guess you know but 3... I had a GC but traded it in and the cool thing is all my games like Rogue Squadron and Windwaker work for it with the GC controllers(You plug them into the top, 4 slots available) I also have the Zelda Promotional disc with all the N64 and regular nintendo releases. That coupled with the Virtual console DL of the SNES game I have nearly all the zeldas between that and my DS.... Minish cap and so forth... Now when they release another Zelda i will be able to play it too.

I was only a little confused at that one part of what you said everything else I agree with i was just not to clear on what you were saying there is all.
