Video games have always been linked to crime and violence, profanity, social development, addiction and my personal favorite sex.
We all know that sex sells. Sex is everywhere, its part of our lives. There is plenty of sex even in Disney films, yes you heard it. If you don't believe it, go watch your Disney movies and then come back and finish this article.
Nudity and sex seem to be very hot topics at times. I personally believe there should be nudity in mature rated video games as long as it ties in with the story. Why not? Showing some boobs or booty is natural if done in proper taste. For example, the love scenes from Mass Effect were done in proper taste. Video games should be treated just like Hollywood, R rated movies have nudity and love scenes so why not mature rated video games. Do R rated movies show bush or cocks, for the most part no, so I do not believe video games should neither unless they are designated as "adult only", similar to porn films. An explicit act of sex whether oral, vaginal or anal should definitely be classifed as AO. There are currently 23 video games designated AO by ESRB; this list is seen below. We all know that most of these should not be on this list. Until society realizes and accepts that video games just like Hollywood is a form of entertainment, and not just a toy for our children, we will live under tight parental scrutiny.

It is actually pretty amazing to see us favor violence over the human body and sexuality on most occasions. Video games are a terrific example of that. Halo/Resistance/Gears of War vs a naked individual... and the ultra violence wins? It concerns me that our value system may be a little out of whack.
