Since most of us are hardcore gamers and keep track of the latest video games, get hyped up about new titles and buy them ``normally`` @ day 1, it is interesting to think about this situation which may never occur but a discussion material nonetheless:
If, by any reason, you would be stuck to 5 games a year, which of those 5 games will satisfy you all year and make you play continously.
I would make my own list and put reasons behind it, I would like you to contribute to the discussion by your list and reasons for your selection.
My list would have Battlefield Bad Company 2, Nba 2k11, Football Manager 2011, Mortal Kombat 9 and Civilization V
Battlefield Bad Company 2 because it`s the best multiplayer shooter for the last 2 years for me and it`s still fun to play
NBA 2k11 because it`s a game I play everyday and never get bored of it as well.
Football Manager 2011 because I`m a huge football fan and enjoy playing football games so much and since FM2011 keeps you busy for a long time, it`ll be on my list.
MK9 because I wouldn`t be able to survive without playing a fighting game and MK9 is my favorite with tons of content and rich multiplayer modes.
Civilization V because I love this game. Simple. It consumes lots of time but it`s fun ! Also they add new races and maps through DLCs so I wouldn`t get bored playing it.
RPG is my favorite genre but since I finished DAII and Fallout New Vegas, and since I don`t enjoy playing them after finishing once, I didn`t pick any of them as 40, 50 hours of content for a game won`t be enough for a year.
The cuts are expected to be announced next week.
Microsoft is also planning thousands of job cuts that will impact other parts of it businesses
MFs has been beating their chests over great quarterly results and big profits to shareholders while firing people by the thousands just like Sony.
I wonder if at the top of those rumored layoffs they´ll also cancel upcoming or unannounced games while shutting down more studios as well.
Mass Damage & Consumer Foundation in the Netherlands has filed a class action against Sony for inflating PlayStation Store prices.
PEAK was released just a week ago, and it has already managed to hit over 100,000 concurrent players on Steam, to the devs' surprise.
LittleBigPlanet 2, InFamous 2, and ModNation Racers.
I know. Quality of User generated content has a sketchy track record.
But get this: lbp2 has 4.5 million levels. Even if 99% of them suck, that's still 45,000 levels worth playing.
I'd choose Halo:Reach, because the multiplayer is loads of fun.
Fifa 11 cause I can't live without playing a football game.
Maybe a Bethesda RPG game to kill some time.
nba 2k11 is were its at. they need to fix the online though
