Halo Fantasy Cast!

So I'm new to this site and I'm all about debating and hypothetical questions so I thought id start with a "What if?" here and see what other peoples thoughts are...

HALO...Let's be honest here...the movie needs to happen. People want it. Give it to us already! Stop the delays! But anyways, I thought I'd make my own little dream cast for the film but I'm totally serious about and think these are solid choices.

So give me your thoughts, what do you agree with and what do you not agree with. By the way some of these characters I'm casting you may not know unless youv'e also read the books but I'm casting a lot more than just the first game depending on where in the Halo Universe they take it. so let us begin...

MASTER CHIEF:
(Body) Daniel Cudmore- If youre unfamiliar he played Collosus in X-Men and actually plays the body of Chief in Forward Unto Dawn.
(Voice) Steve Downes- The actual voice of Chief, don't mess with a good thing.

CORTANA:
Mackenzie Mason- She's got the look and she also plays Cortana in Halo 4 so she already has the familiarity with the role.

343 GUILTY SPARK:
(Voice) Tim Dadabo- He is actually the voice of 343 in the game.

SGT.JOHNSON:
Idris Elba- This ones actually one of my favorite choices I have made. He's got that serious attitude but also has that snappy wit like the sarge has, just look at him in Prometheus!

CPT. KEYES:
George Clooney- Now before you all start disagreeing here, just listen. George Clooney has the look, he has that serious tone that Keyes has, he is the freakin Captain and Clooney is all about being the leader. Plus you wouldnt need to worry about Clooney taking the focus since Keyes wouldnt be a primary character in the film.

FOE HAMMER:
Jane Lynch- Thats right! Jane Lynch! She would bring that smart/hardass attitude to an otherwise small small role, granted this would be a small part but cast Jane Lynch and you could make people actually give a shit about this character!

Ok Guys...now were getting into the more specific characters that those that have only played the games might not know, some you will recognize though...

SPARTAN-051 KURT:
Jeremy Renner- Action star, a leader, serious tone, all of the basic qualities to play Kurt while at first would have a tiny role but if they did Ghosts of Onyx would have his own lead spin-off.

SPARTAN-058 LINDA:
Emily Blunt- We saw how badass Emily Blunt can be from Edge of Tomorrow so I know without a doubt she could take on the role of a Spartan along side Chief. Plus they both have that Redish hair so thats cool too.

SPARTAN-087 KELLY:
Jaimie Alexander- Who better to play the role of the baddest female Spartan and best famale friend to Chief besides Cortana than Jaimie Alexander who did that very same thing as Sif in Thor, shes got the action experience and the look.

SPARTAN-104 FRED:
Sam Witwer- Fred is another one of Chiefs fellow Spartans he grew fighting beside, being described as having somewhat of a pedestrian look to himself and pale skin, which is just like Sam Witwer who we also know can take a serious role like he did in Star Wars FU.

SPARTAN-034 SAM:
Alexander Ludwig- The kids got acting chops and he can make a great addition to the role of Sam, Chiefs best friend (RIP).

SPARTAN-A259 CARTER:
Guy Pierce- His role in Lockout really sold me on this, the gritty leader of Noble Team on reach, Guy Pierce could just take his attitude from Lockout and throw on some Spartan gear and I'm sold!

SPARTAN-052 JORGE:
Kevin Durand- The only SPARTAN II of the bunch in Noble Team, bigger than the others and more of a force to be reckoned with. Kevin Durand has played big bruting roles like this before and he's good with accents.

SPARTAN-B320 Kat:
Alice Braga- The dangerous and intelligent Kat has a sharp accent and attitude to back it up and Alice Braga could do this role perfect, quite similiar to her role in Predators.

SPARTAN-A239 EMILE:
Anthony Mackie- This fan favorite from the game s the badass with the skull on his EVA Helmet. Hes got attitude, sarcasm, and charisma. Anthony Mackie can do all of that and more, he has played several roles with those qualities and is in the action scene a lot now especially after his role as The Falcon in Captain America: Winter Soldier.

SPARTAN-A266 Jun:
Gaspard Ulliel- Who better to play this silent foreignish Spartan Jun than that of a very popular french actor like Gaspard. Look him up, I'm sure you don't know him, but i swear him and Jun have the same face. Its scary.

LORD HOOD:
Ron Pearlman- If you know anything about Halo, you know this is the obvious choice. Nobody else could take that role.

DR. HALSEY:
Michelle Pfeiffer- She has the right age, the right look, and she can DEFINITELY act and play this serious role as the "Mother" to all of the Spartans.

ARBITER:
Keith David- Need I say more?

And lastly...ya gotta put Andy Serkis in there with his amazing motion capture acting. He could be used in SO many ways.

SO thats it guys, thanks for reading, let me know what you think and hey i may try to do more of these who knows! PEACE.

Halo's cutscenes are so epic, I really want them to make a cgi movie and not Live Action. And if they do a cgi movie, just keep the same voice actors as the game. They are perfect as is : )

Great job breaking it down! I appreciate the passion and effort you put in.

Honestly, halo movie would be just epic, but it has to be done right! The cutscenes in halo 2 remaster made me realize how epic a movie could be.

I would like to do more as well! Any ideas? haha

I appreciate that positive feedback! I've just been so anxious for them to actually get their act together and make these movies happen, done correctly these movies could be the next big Sci-Fi experiences since Star Wars, even though they're doing more Star Wars now, but with LOTR done and no new Middle Earth movies in the forseeable future I need something to fill that void of an epic Journey to follow along with!

Hey Fantasycaster!

Nice write up! One question though, in your version of this possible halo movie are you planning on keeping chiefs helmet on throughout or are you thinking of the unthinkable and plan on having his face shown? like Stallone's Judge Dredd?

Gravemind could feature in some form, maybe even the narrator haha! that would be an interesting twist, being told the story from the perspective of the flood! Seeing as they seem to be the only entities that are present throughout the timeline. Could be interesting to explore the philosophy of the flood.

I just cant wait to see the direction they take for Halo 5 guardians and I truly hope that they explore the unlocked evolution within the chief performed by the librarian. Is the chief the iso-didact, has he been imprinted with 'Bornestellar's' or Forthencho's Geas, or is it something else? Will chief gain new abilities or change due to the unlocking. So many questions, such an exciting time to be a sci fi fan!!!

I'm with you all the way on your cast choices, now all that is left is what story to tell?

Thanks for the reply 2cents!

In my version he keeps the helmet on, perhaps some tricky shot ALMOST showing his face but I think it would be a great homage to the fans if they kept Chiefs face a mystery!

And I absolutely agree with including the flood and you'll especially see why when I say who I think should direct it! Gimme some NEIL BLOMPFKAMP!

I feel like a Neil and Speilburg team up would be amazing. I mean Speilburg has already agreed to do the Halo TV show. And just look at what Neil did with Chappie, District 9, & Elysium. Neil could knock this movie out of the park with that extra guidance from Speilburg as the producer!

And that's the awesome part about this! With all of the books, games, and backstory, Hollywood could take this franchise in several direction and it could become the next Star Wars even! But with Neil directing just a tad darker haha

Any ideas for another game I should "FantasyCast" for a possible movie?! haha I'll do my best.

Now you just need a good movie director .
