N4G Application Errors? Clear Your Cookies/Cache

Hi.

If you're logging in and getting Application Errors, then you need to clear your cookies and cache for all time.

We recently had a database update, and this apparently caused some issues in validating your cookies.

Make sure you clear your cookies and cache for all time, not just 4 weeks, which is default in Google Chrome.

Thank you,
Christopher

I get this every now and again after visiting Twitter on my browser, not sure its related but it only ever happens after I visit that site

You could also try clicking on the 'lock', 'info', or 'Not secure' notice to the left of the address bar (on Chrome) then go to Site Settings -> Usage -> Clear Data. This has helped me in the past.

Or N4G can sort this out once and for all. It is a N4G Problem and N4G should fix it.

I can’t think of another website that comes up with so many flaws and workarounds for their users.

Do something about it!

Fluttershy771775d ago

Exactly, I only get this error here.

This issue has been happening for too many years. It needs to be fixed.

Yep, have to agree. Of course i'm just some random visitor, but this is very frustrating and happens completely random.

Not to mention, how affected vistors are supposed to read this post, if all they see is this «Application Error» page? I see this message a couple of times a week, i always think N4G have some sort of updates installed, looks like i was wrong.

P. S.: Maybe i'm wrong, but i remember you posting on similar blog post about same Application errors, was some time in spring, i believe. Time just flies by.

100 percent agree. The only site I frequent that insists on outting me out of my way. It has only been a few weeks since this happened last and in between then we had to suffer those stupid pop up videos that dominated the screen on mobile and scrolled with the screen.

Sort your own problems out and stop asking users to use workarounds

Ffshrine had issues it finally went down.

KwietStorm_BLM1775d ago

They'll get to it right after we get a proper reply system.

AMD is really building hype around their unique partnership with Microsoft to help and build an advanced and seamless Xbox ecosystem across all Xbox consoles and devices.

I wonder what she meant by "full roadmap of gaming optimized chips" though? Seems ambitious.

Next year´s Xbox Showcase already looks promising and exciting. Here´s hoping they deliver.

Some odd, deliberate wording, no branding, not 'Xbox consoles, Xbox handhelds' specifically, feels and sounds like they're building towards hardware that anyone can be used or licensed to/by themselves and other manufacturers.

Multiplatform software and hardware 'Xbox/AMD APU'.

I guess you missed Sarah Bond´s next generation Xbox announcement this week, were she clearly states:

"I´m thrilled to share that we´ve established a strategic multi-year partnership with AMD to co-engineer silicon across a portfolio of devices, including, *our* next generation *Xbox consoles*."

But hey, I don´t think you´re entirely wrong, maybe MS will build their own Xbox consoles while licencing other manufactures to build and sell their own Xbox branded consoles. Who knows

Shares vision....we provide chips for money, this deal will sell many chips, we will make lots of money...good vision

The marketing behind this is so heavy that I worry about the actual outcome. Why are they just not showing us the product, why all this talking in market speak?
