Nintendo shares first official sales report for Switch 2 and confirms it's now the company's fastest-selling system ever.
Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch 2 delivers performance close to the PS4 Pro version with faster loading times.
I mean, did anyone think the Switch 2 would be comparable to current-gen? Yea, I’m pretty sure it’s going to give you PS4 quality looking/playing games and in a couple years we’ll be onto PS6 and most third-party games will either be downgraded to hell or just not be available on Switch 2 🤷♂️.
From GamesReviews:"Street Fighter 6 finally makes its debut on Nintendo’s powerful new hardware, the Nintendo Switch 2, and the result is an impressive, if slightly trimmed, version of Capcom’s acclaimed fighter that still packs a serious punch."
MonsterVine: "Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour may look like a glorified tech demo, but it delivers a surprisingly deep and educational experience that’s worth the small price."
Congratulations Nintendo. XD
I will wait for Dreamcastguy reaction video, he said that this will flop and no one cares about switch 2.
It’s great and all to congratulate successful launch in gaming. But can we stop with the false narratives? Like it’s been, “”3 million sold first 24 hours, best console launch sells” “3.5 first 4 days! High demand and supply!”
Then you see people comparing it to ps5, series X and portal sales trying to make it seem like those console launches were bad because they sold out. Even though it was covid and limited components and parts for mass production of the devices.
You can appreciate your devices success without spinning false comparisons. I am personally waiting until donkey Kong drops before considering getting one.
People seemed to forget at one point they made huge excuses against getting a ps5 or Xbox series X because “they just played ps4/xbox games at higher frame rates” but now the switch 2 which literally does the same thing isn’t getting any call outs for that?
This is why I vaguely participate in the gaming community threads because the goal post moving and inability to appreciate all of gaming makes it vastly unappealing discussing with others this medium.
Tl;dr
Congrats on a stable launch, looking forward to more games and how they push this device. Good gaming to all
I could quote some people who told it will be a failure or there will be the WII U effect hehe
Still too early to tell atm if it's a sure success, there are numerous consoles that came out of the gate running with record breaking sales and then simply lost the steam and came up well short of its previous console.
High game prices and accessories will slowly cripple them over time if Nintendo do nothing about it.
Crazy how many are willing to pay full price for years old game and it's often the worst version to play on, they're just desperate for something to go with a new console and it shows even listing NSO 20-year-old GC games to padding out their launch titles.
Congrats I guess to whomever enjoyed it for new high prices.
Nintendo is pretty anti-consumer...and with this kind of success, they will continue to give us all the middle finger.
