Less than 48 hours later, PlayStation appears to be waiving its staunch refund policy for people who bought MindsEye.
The technical state of MindsEye has made it challenging for sponsored streamers to play and share anything positive about the game.
Checked out some gameplay and yikes.
The fact any developer is willing to launch a game looking like that and with that many issues is why I don't feel too bad when a studio gets shuttered.
You're willing to literally scam people out of their money.
Not every gamer is doing the research to confirm a product is quality prior to purchase.
Someone said it looks like the game you see someone playing in the background of a TV show. And I have nothing to add to that. How did you leave rockstar for this.
Sounds like a Cyberpunk again. Hopefully they fix it in a year too, but until then I will wait. It’s too bad they released it in such a state but they probably didn’t have the money not too. Damn if you do damned if you don’t
It really goes to show how murky some of these sponsorships can get. I get that people need to make a living, but I’ve always been cautious when it comes to influencer-sponsored streams. I don’t usually support them because I prefer forming opinions from demos, gameplay vids, and gathering points from reviews. Watching someone play a game and then immediately push an affiliate link like, “go buy this now” — it just feels a little off to me. That kind of pitch makes it harder to tell if the enthusiasm is real or just part of the deal. I doubt any influencer stopped the stream and said they can’t support this.
TNS: The curse of cyberpunk lives on.
And just two weeks ago, people here were trying to hype the game and dismiss people who thought it would flop as part of the "hive mind crap."
It's 2025 - we know a dumpster fire coming when we see it, and we know it's real when the developer is blaming pre-release criticism on an unhinged conspiracy.
As I said in that article - This is the kind of game that goes out of its way to earn its criticism
This game is literal ass shit and no amount of damage control will save it.
It also has some sort of 10 year plan lmao
I'm so looking forward to the score. This has to be the longest a game has released without scores coming up 😂 i predict 52
Anyone who actually played the game? I feel like no one is playing it and just jumping on this "this game is 30fps trash" bandwagon. Everything I've seen seem to show a pretty decent game.
MindsEye is facing a rocky launch due to glitches that are reminding players of the bugs seen in Assassin's Creed Unity after its release.
Thankfully, I haven't experienced anything like that yet. Poor performance seems to be the biggest con of this game but I got 5090 at 1440p so it's running pretty well for me. As for the gameplay, it's average Rockstar type shooting and driving mechanics so if you like those mechanics then this game is exactly that. Story on the other hand is astonishing and quite riveting. For me personally this game is 8/10.
$60 base price for a game with poor performance and glitches.
Wait a while, and it'll go on sale for 30% off (or higher), and it'll likely be patched up and running a lot better.
Not sure it's 'as bad' as CP2077 as far as crashing and whatnot. It's just not as good of a game, so that makes the issues stand out more.
There's full walkthrough out there if you want to see the game for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Good on Sony. This game sucks.
If your model is a bigger world with monthly content, the initial IP for this structure has to be great!
It doesn’t have to be long, and the cheapest the better, but it’s a good concept.
Create a game that’s solid and sell for cheap and offer monthly content for a price. But no one will buy it if the first entry is terrible.
