This week in ‘it’s about bloody time’ news, the first video game based on the Paralympics arrives on mobile systems next month, and it looks a whole lot of fun.
A while ago, Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata left Square Enix to form his own studio JP Games. Today the International Paralympic Committee revealed the studio’s first game, titled “The Pegasus Dream Tour.”
Just an announcement I see, well anyway glad to see Tabata is moving on with his career.
it will be full of post launch dlc for years i guess.
tabata, shit on your hand and slap yourself.
Interesting. Just a couple days ago, my friend and I were having a discussion about the handicap stigma in Japan. I'm not with the virtue crowd, but it got me thinking that the Japanese simply sweep disability under the rug. No one talks about it, the disabled rarely show themselves. We have all these crybabies demanding moot rights to their niche minorities, while the entire Japanese culture deems disability a quiet perma-shame.
My props to Tabata for going there. Game's probably going to suck, never see much scrutiny, but I appreciate the shout-out at the truly unrepresented.
