Evidence is mounting that Playstation 3 was designed to cater to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender population. Links continue to be established between Sony Entertainment’s subliminal marketing techniques and the gay population. These techniques focus on an attempt to appeal to the segment of the population that is "in the closet" as a means in which they can freely express their gayness. The marketing strategies have been slightly toned-down after the public outcry over the original ‘gay-shaped’ boomerang controller; Sony has since refined their techniques and closet-gays have since accepted the system with open arms.
