So there I was, playing Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning which is a pretty enjoyable game (great combat, crap story but whatever); after finishing up a quest and leaving a dungeon I noticed something, my minimap wasn’t where it was supposed to be. Heck, it wasn’t anywhere; it just vanished, nowhere to be found.

Electronic Arts has announced a number of server closures in the coming months, including Apex Mobile and the 2012 Syndicate reboot.
Syndicate's big saving grace will soon be erased for good. I'll give *some* credit to EA in keeping servers up for 10+ years.
Oh yeah, an actual cyberpunk game. I have fond memories of the old bullfrog Syndicates.
Syndicate was a fun and high quality late PS3 fps that got swallowed in the sea of fps at the time. It was short and it didn't innovate but it had good visuals and fun combat. Starbreeze i believe. Rip Torn and Rosario Dawson.

Hmmm, interesting... I get what you're saying though, as I do the same thing a lot of times. It's almost a necessity to be constantly looking at your mini-map in most of today's games.
I only played the game to get the armour and assault rifle for Mass Effect 3.
I agree. I wish every game had the option to disable.
thats funny the only thing IMO that was bad about the games was the graphics, spent a good 50 hours in KOA but didnt care much for the graphics! Having said that just about everything else in the game i absoltuley loved!
