Do Strategy Guides Help at All?

"Walkthrough guides for video games have always been coming out. Guides were originally in magazines that you could subscribe to. The one magazine that I am thinking of is Nintendo Power. In any Nintendo Power, there weren’t just guides; they also had reviews of games. But as time has passed, guides have become more focused; you can now buy a specific guide for almost any game that comes out. Are all these guides helpful though?"
