Football Manager 2008 on 360 confirmed for release on 28th March

SEGA Europe Ltd. today announced that Football Manager 2008 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will be hitting stores in Spring 2008. Football Manager 2008 is the next chapter of the renowned Football Manager series developed by BAFTA winning studio Sports Interactive Ltd. The latest console version of Football Manager will be fully updated for the new season, including transfers being made in the mid-season transfer window, allowing players to select their favourite club or international team and guide them to the title.

'UK hit by an utterly huge loss of talent'

The UK's loss of talented developers in the sports genre has been 'utterly huge' according to Miles Jacobson, the studio head of London-based Football Manager developer Sports Interactive.

In an exclusive interview with Develop, Jacobson explained that Canada's exemplary tax break rates – which peak at 40% of dev costs – was the reason why a number of British-born developers now work in cities such as Vancouver and Toronto.
