Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention Review | Trendy Gamers

Trendy Gamers: Over the years I have certainly played my fair share of Tactical RPGs; I have tried my hand at the Final Fantasy Tactics series, dabbled a bit in the Fire Emblem games, and even messed around in the Advance Wars franchise. While I greatly enjoyed all of these games, the only series that had really grabbed me was Final Fantasy Tactics. It seems like those days are over now though, as Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention is one of the most fun Tactical RPGs I have ever played and is definitely worth a purchase on your Vita.

the ridiculous grinding and low res sprites are keeping me away from it, didnt liked disgaea3 on ps3 so it would be the same on the vita.

Great, you have about 100 more hours to go.

GribbleGrunger4399d ago

100 hours? get out of here with that! trust me, if you want to get everything out of the game, you'll need well over 300 hours. i kid you not

Xof4399d ago

Gotta love how they're using the same low-res sprites upscaled to fit the background.

This game is so gorgeous on the vita screen, I can't stop playing O.o

Soldierone4399d ago

Lol at the Disagree, probably someone that hasn't touched it.

I can't stop either, have about 20 hours in it. (I had it before launch)

PersonaCat4399d ago

Perhaps they are disagreeing that I own a Vita? or that I can't stop playing? lol.

But yea, this game is definitely my most played game on the Vita so far. I asked for a jrpg and I received one with ridiculous amount of content. Couldn't be happier :D

According to the trailer, you all will be playing this game for (Nolan North sounding voice) 10,000,000 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, if people check out this guide, they might find a way to make the Netherworld your new second home.

Seconded!

Easily the best game I've got for my Vita.

Thirded

It's pretty much a perfect JRPG. Atlus does fine work.

FFX is still one of my favourite games of all time... It's a shame more top notch JRPGs don't regularly come out anymore

It sure seems that the Vita has become the Niche gamers place to go. I am kinda sad that my Vita just sits in its case, but alas, there are others who have a lot of reason to play it.

I've played through Persona 4G, Lost Dimension, and Ys: Memories of Celceta and they are all fantastic.
