While I'm not the biggest fan of Blizzard, this game has me pumped. I'm playing Torchlight currently and I'm having a blast. This and Torchlight 2 will be wonderful additions to my game collection.

i want to buy this game but i dont want to spend $60 on something that i might not enjoy. i enjoyed diablo 2 but its been a long time and i havent been a fan of some of the things blizzard has done in their more recent rpgs

It is more of a demo than a beta at this point, realistically, especially given the game launches in a month. There may be balance tweaks but the game is probably considered "feature complete" for launch with other stuff to be looked at later.

I have been in the beta a couple months and really haven't seen much change enacted due to customer feedback at all. They are kind of going to the beat of their own drum and doing what they want in the beta rounds, which obviously they are more than able to do, it just makes the beta feel fake when they really aren't really taking customer suggestions and feedback, just customer data to use to weigh the changes they already intend.

After wishing for this game for about a decade and still playing D2 off and on the whole time I really am kind of disappointed in how D3 is being handled. I won't be buying in at $60 at launch. It will have no PVP at launch, or the ability to actually boot anyone from a game on day 1, and also missing the Mystic and her entire artisan system at launch.

I'll wait a bit longer grab Torchlight 2 for $20, which I am far more confident in. I am also happy with their decisions to not have always on DRM, and also that they allow LAN and mods, all of which D3 has the opposite choice.

I'll buy and and play T2, at least until Blizzard's first few months patches and additions make D3 the game it should be at launch. This is the first Blizzard game that isn't launching "when it is done". Even after a decade of waiting it seems they are just dumping this project out after all this production time and are more than happy to have people buy it while they finish it after the fact. The past few months of the beta have been carving out systems, making the game even simpler, and cramming in a semi-functional social system.

I'll pass until they get their act together.
