Despite the relative ease videogame developers churn out sequels, Eidos Montreal believes that Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the forthcoming Thief relaunch have been treated as if they were entire new IPs.
From outer space to stealing in Europe, The Epic Games Store has two free games you might like.
Bro f$&k Embracer. How do companies not even understand basic concepts like “don’t count your chickens before they hatch”? And now all these peoples lives are upended because of it.
Fkn trash. They had no business buying up all those studios with house money. I been waiting so long for the next Deus Ex. All these large scale consolidations are bleeding out the industry one at a time.
Embracer Group has reportedly canceled a new Deus Ex game after two years in development and laid off some staff.
I was thinking about this a few days ago in terms of DX. I thought:
What if DX was actually a reboot? I will say it's a pretty good one... minus the groggy boss fights and endings.
Despite saying that, DXHR definitely tried to recapture what made the original great, and in many respects succeeded.
I only hope the new Thief shows as much respect for its source material.
I'm playing Human Revolution right now for the first time and its pretty good.
I was hoping that they would made a sequel to Deus Ex: Invisible War but the thing is I kind of like Adam Jensen, so much character development to dive into......
I wonder if there would be a way to continue from Invisible War but also include Adam aswell then you could link in whats happened over Deus Ex and it's sequel with the events played out in Human Revolution, <SPOILERS>....even at the end of HR Megan seems to be changing sides and working for the wrong team. With Adams "upgrades" shouldn't he age slower or live longer then a normal human being anyway.
I think the next Deus Ex needs less Vents though, way too many vent crawling in HR. It was like the only "alternative" route
I am still waiting on some new info on Thief 4.
